“PINE TREE SHABBOS CHANUKA”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

The Pine Tree was really spacious and tastefully decorated, in particular the lying down lounge chair with the fur blanket and views with window seats!!
The bed was extremely comfortable and most of the facilities were available and came to good use! the bathroom, however, was very very cold and cramped!
we liked the seperate private entrance aswell.
There were no shutters by the windows though and this caused it to be bright in the morning and woke the baby.

We were very happy that this couple enjoyed their stay at the Pine Tree with the exception of the cold bathroom. We have now installed a good bathroom heater so that should not be a problem in the future.

The Beit Yosef guest house on Rechov Tet Zayin was a great choice for our family which includes married and single kids. We rented the three bedroom apartment upstairs and the two bedroom apartment beneath it. Everyone had their privacy and we were able to enjoy family time in the spacious living room and porch upstairs. Absolutely charming, decorated with style and good taste, comfy beds and linens, great bathrooms, a brand new kitchen which handled all the Shabbat foods (for 12 adults + 3 kids) really well, a living room with ample and comfortable seating - all these features contributed to a great family vacation in Tzfat. Location was good too, close to a variety of shuls and shopping.

We loved the 3 BR apartment of Beit Yosef B&B and would definitely recommend it for families with kids. We were 6 people, but it seemed like it could accomodate up to 8. The place was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with a great mix of modern ammenities and Tzfat charm. The location was amazing.
You can see that owners really care about the place and put a lot of effort into it. They even came up to us at the end of our stay and asked for advice on how to improve it. (We suggested room-darkening window coverings to keep the light out in the morning).
We were extremely happy here, and would stay here again on our next trip to the area.

When I travel, I look for accommodations that reflect yesterdays history, but still have todays conveniences and consistent cleanliness . For me, the ideal is a well managed, tastefully decorated, locally owned lodging with pleasant staff who speak English.

I have stayed in 5 of Micki and Yosef Gersts properties in Safed,a city that is magical in and of itself. Staying here makes you feel a part of Safed's artistic heritage, whether it is in their smallest one bedroom or multiple unit complexes. Although this is not what Americans consider a typical bed & breakfast, all units have kitchens that more than compensate for a full free breakfast.

I am sure you will be more than pleased, very comfortable and looking forward to your next visit once you have stayed at Beit Yosef B&B.

Room Tip: You can't find a bad rooom

Located a10 minute walk from supermarkets, coffee shops and shwarma restaurants the View House was the perfect spacious home for our family of 7.
We stayed there for 5 nights thoroughly enjoying the view from the deck and the delicious fresh pastries from the bakery on the street below.
The rooms were cozy with comfy single beds and the bathrooms adequate. Lots of fresh clean towels.
The kitchen was not sufficiently equipped but Sharon did her best to take care of that and in general her service was excellent.

My only complaints are that the railing going down the stairs to the street from the back door is loose and unsafe but you can use the ramp instead.

We shall definitely return to the View House, I hope sooner than later!

The View House was hard to find. We had to call Sharon, who gave us directions and then met us. We did not know that the Beit Yosef are rooms spread about the beautiful town. I don't know about the other units, but we had to make and provide our own breakfasts. The kitchen had a burner and microwave which was for basic cooking. For breakfast and lunch it worked well, but we could not use it for dinner. We reported that there was also a shortage of dishes, utensils and serving dishes, which I assume has been taken care off. For our family of 8 it worked out find and everyone was very happy. It is just too bad that the kitchen is limited.

Located in a cobblestoned street in the picturesque Artists' Colony in the old town of Safed is Beit Yosef Guest House. The architecture of this spacious old stone house converted to luxury guest houses is gorgeous. We stayed in Serenity Suite, a charming two bedroom guest house which has been fitted out with a luxurious combination of antique furniture, beautiful textiles, interesting artefacts, all tied romantically together with the soft light of lamps and scented candles set into recessed niches in the exposed original stone walls.
Finding the place initially however was a challenge as, although our instructions contained the names of the two streets where the guest house is located, the streets themselves contained no signs.
The beds were very comfortable with enough pillows; the supply of towels was generous; power points were plentiful for re-charging our many gadgets; the heating worked well; and Wi-Fi was no problem. We did have an issue with the hot water supply, but after calling the owner and following her instructions, we then had hot water for the duration of our stay.
Our enjoyment of this lovely place was unfortunately somewhat hampered by the bad luck of having a ‘neighbour’ in the adjoining Rimon Suite which interconnects via a double glass door in the living area, who obviously felt that the thick stone walls were not thick enough for him as, unless we spoke in whispered tones, he hammered angrily on the adjoining door demanding our silence!
Parking was available in the street nearby and our pre-paid breakfast at the Rimonim Guest House, which was just steps away. Was nothing short of spectacular!

The glass partition door between the two units has now been replaced by a wall and is completely soundproof.
