“Best location, spectacular view & issues”
Reviewed March 14, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The building is a little over a decade old. The view from our apartment was spectacular and we went to bed most nights being able to enjoy the sound of waves. Our son actually slept on the deck at night when the weather permitted. The taxi stand is in front of the building which was very helpful because we did not rent a car. Clearly, if being in the center of things is important, this is an excellent choice.
There were problems, however. We stayed for 7 weeks, and numerous things went wrong or had to be managed. The elevators broke down frequently, which was not a problem for us because we are used to running up and down stairs. There were frequent leaks in the building as well. The shower door has to be closed gingerly and exactly in place or the bathroom gets flooded with water. The stove needed to be replaced, which the owner did begrudingly. The stove was gas and made frequent "exploding" sounds" before the flame came on, and sometimes the gas came on without the flame. My husband, who is retired PhD physicist insisted it was dangerous and it was replaced with a brand new electric stove that worked well. The fridge died and needed to be replaced. The owner needed to order a new one so he offered to store food in his fridge next door. Two days later an old fridge was brought in and placed in front of the broken fridge. Once the microwave went out, but the owner came over and moved it to another plug and it worked. Because of the stove and fridge fiascos we ended up wasting food and had to spend money eating out.
The day before we left my husband wrote a note to the owner asking him to consider altering the amount we paid. He knew that our daughter had just given birth to our first grandchild and we were looking at the possibility of being repeat visitors. He wrote a nasty note to us blaming us for breaking his refrigerator! He no attempt to say he was sorry for all the problems. We went away with a bad taste in our mouths.

Management Response

Thank you for your appreciation.
I have to report that we already have rewievs of other sites.
Everything is verifiable.
But I would advise people who possibly would read your message.
When you arrived at the apartment everything worked properly.
And you were very satisfied with this property.
We could see on your faces the joy of having made a good deal.
After weeks you have had failures on electrical appliances.
This material was new.
The ceramic gas was less than 2 years, the refrigerator was 4 months old etc ..
We constantly renew our installations.
We bought a ceramic electric hotplate on the same day.
We bought a new fridge.
We have provided assistance 7 / 7.
Whatever the reason for your request.
You've come to our door almost every day for information.
You never have felt abandoned.
At the end of your stay you, vulgarly, wanted to return to the rental price.
I'm sorry, that's not our style to haggle.
I wish you better deals elsewhere.
greetings
