“Waking up with a view of the Mediterranean”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

Just back from a great 2-day break at The Seasons Hotel in Netanya. We received an upgrade to a suite on the 15th floor - they said they gave us this upgrade because we booked through booking.com. The suite was really magnificent – very large and spacious, offering views of the coastline to the north and south. The hotel itself has a prominent position high above the cliffs of the beach. It is in walking distance of the city square, where all the action in the town seems to take place. The breakfast offered a good selection of foods. The staff were helpful with every request we had. This is a classic hotel, and decorated accordingly – so if you're looking for a cutting-edge, modern hotel, this is not the place for you. On the downside, it needs some renovations. For example, the water pressure in the Jacuzzi was insufficient for use, there was a lot a noise from one of the toilets in the suite, and more attention should be paid to cleanliness in some places. But for us, this was a luxurious and thoroughly enjoyable break.

Although needing attention to put it back as a five star hotel this is still a comfortable place to stay.

The quiet side of the hotel is on the north side, cooler and just right. Also try a room away from the lift as this is quite noisy.

Room Tip: Choose the north side above the fourth floor. This is quiet and cool and away from the town centre...

The Seasons (Ha'Onot) is situated right at the north end of a very nice beach promenade (Nitza Blvd) in Netanya. All the rooms are actually suits, some smaller and some larger, with a nice size bedroom and living room, plus a porch where one can sit, watch the beautiful sea view and relax. The lobby area is a bit old fashioned, but very adequate, and breakfast is varied and rich (although a hotel of this kind could really serve fresh orange juice and chef-made omletts). The staff was friendly and helpful, although several mistakes were made during check-in. The hotel is right on the beach and it also has a nice pool and a spa (which we didn't use). There is an underground parking lot, although access directly into the hotel is a bit problematic. I would highly recommend it for families. We reserved lots of rooms for our entire family and everyone was happy!

This hotel has a prime location on the Mediterranean surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds. For the most part, the images on the hotel's website are accurate reflection of the property, but the room photos don't match my experience. Hotel is very safe and quiet. The service I experienced was good. My room was quite clean, spacious and had a private patio. Be aware that booking a "double" is two twin beds. Beds are made european style - low to the ground and minimal bedding. Room nada sofa, table and chairs, TV, complementary wifi, electric kettle, instant coffee and turkish style coffee, black tea and toiletries shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer that blows hot air, but not a high wattage dryer which means low air flow. No washcloths (bath and hand towels only), iron or ironing board. The breakfast and dinner included with my reservation was fantastic. Both were served buffet style with lots of fresh vegetables and variety on the hot dishes and desserts. All food is Kosher. I was part of a tour group that stayed here and this seemed to be a big part of hotel's clientele. There is a nice bar off the lobby and the pool is enjoyable and clean.

Room Tip: I was on the 4th floor and had a sea view. lower floors are good as elevator can take some time and...

despite the hotel being full we did not feel it crowded except at breakfast. We did not eat other meals in the hotel. The poolside bistro sounded and looked great from afar but when open could not provide much and the three waiters standing around were not motivated to clean used tables or to serve. We were the only customers and we could see why .A pity as the area had potential and was pleasant to sit at. We had some guests and all we could serve them was cold water from a water machine near the pool. This is no better than when we tried to obtain a snack from the same bistro about 10 years ago - we were then amazed that a five star hotel provided such bad service and it is still no better.

Room Tip: our room was 307 - a large lounge with a balcony and a spacious bedroom and bathroom.Lots of space f...

The staff was friendly and courteous. Our stay included dinner and breakfast the next morning. Both meals were buffet styled with a good selection to choose from and tasty as well. The room was suite and very comfortable with a nice view of the ocean and beach from our balcony. Close to an area with nice shops and a couple of beautiful fountains. Check in and out went very smoothly.

I've stayed here several times and nothing has changed in the last 12 years -- literally. The service and food is good, the views of the beach are great, the rooms are more like apartments, but they need some updating. Just feels a little tired.
