“Enjoyed our stay”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The stuff was very polite and helpful. The dinner was good. The view and the atmosphere is very nice. The hotel arranged a 3 hours tour to Nazareth with the guide Hanny an excellent guide - no extra charge. The breakfast was o.k., the rooms are simple but o.k. The only problem in the hotel is the thin walls – drywalls.

After booking I checked the reviews (I know - I did it backwards) and I was a little concerned about the negative comments. It is true that the rooms are small but everything was clean and the outside noise stayed outside. Breakfast was generous. Coming from the heat and humidity of Tel Aviv, it was a thrill to be able to sit outside on the patio and feel the cool breeze. On Saturday morning the hotel provides a guided tour to some of the churches including of course the Church of the Annunciation. In the evening the staff convinced us to have dinner on the patio and we agreed because we were too lazy to go to a restaurant. We let them choose the dishes and were all thrilled with the food. Really felt pampered.

This hotel was a monastery. The people who bought it made it a hotel- leaving some of the ambiance- lke the furniture in the lobby and some of the walls in the rooms.
It is set in the highest place in Nazareth- so from the room and the patio/veranda you have a great view of the city.
The rooms are not big- but enough, the toilette/shower- again enough.
Breakfast has all you need: cereals, salad. kinds of cheese, cake, jams and an individual-hot-made for you omelette.
The staff is helpful and kind.

This was once a cloistered monestory. Now it is a modern hotel - not fully modern however! TV was not working and the bathroom was small and crammed. The restaurant was great and overall the hotel had a very good ambiance.
No wi-fi though.
Good value for money provided you are around for just a day.
Short on luxury comforts. What do you expect in a budget accommodation?

Room Tip: Do not take the higher floors.

From the outside, the "hotel" is quite stunning. The views are breathtaking! And that, fellow tripadvisor readers will be the climax of your stay in this hotel. Its all downhill from there. The rooms are DISGUSTINGLY dirty, badly furnished, tiny and smell of damp.
Dinner was so bad (apart from the humus and salads) that I felt sick just looking at it. The chicken and rice dish looked like food from my worst nightmare - the poultry (if indeed it was) had a strange grey color. I wanted to leave the same night, but my wife and son were too tired. We stayed in the noisy, dirty room for 7 hours more and at 6.30am we packed up and left as hastily as possible.
SO - some of the staff were friendly, the views stunning. The best part of this hotel was LEAVING. Never again.
