“Nice pleasant stay, very near to Center!”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We had no accommodation in Nazareth and Vitrage was our first choice that evening as the reviews were very positive. Though it is harder to find, we did find it and we have been lucky as we got the room. Owner, this young man Ihab was very helpful. He went back to our car to check if we park in the good zone, where parking is allowed. Thank he took my girlfriends heavy backpack and walked us back to the hotel, making jokes. The hotel is nice with so nice atmosphere. Local music gently sounds from the speakers, very nice lights around the outside sitting. We felt great. Clean sheets, clean everything, hotel was quiet, hidden in some small streets, without any noise from the cars or others. I felt like in ancient Nazareth. From the room you can see Basilque of Annunciation, really close by walk. There is maybe one thing I would say - the breakfast could be better. Everything was tasty, but not big selection.

Room Tip: As this is quiet area I think all should be ok but rather pick the ones on first floor as some rooms...

We were three women travelling and decided to use Nazareth as our base to see the north of Israel. Best decision we could have made!
This family-run guest house welcomed us in and we had such a wonderful experience there. Our room was comfortable and clean. The beautiful outdoor area for chilling and eating was the perfect spot to enjoy our homemade breakfast and coffee. The location of this house is a short walking distance from all the main sights in the old city.
Take the time to visit Abu Ashraf and sample his katayef (a delicious sweet pastry) with mint tea. Just take a left out of the guest house and walk down the narrow pathways until you reach the entrance to the market.

Fantastic hosts, great location and lovely room. We really enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard with a beer from the lovely small bar set up.

The guesthouse was very homely. We arranged a tour to Galilee through the guesthouse which was private, just two of us for 500ils total which was great value and we ha an excellent day. Our guide was great at tailoring the tour for us to allow us more time in national parks and less church time.

Would thoroughly recommend both Vitrage and tour.

I was due to stay in the economy room with the shared bathroom, but decided against in the end, when I saw it. Perhaps it's Israeli prices but the room seemed rather pricey for what was essentially quite a threadbare and minimalist set up. It was pretty basic. In fact, just two beds in a sort of cave type room. It was tucked away in the back of the property through some stairs and what looked like building work. The shared bathroom was dank, dark, and seemed mouldy. I have stayed in worse, but usually for less.

However, I didn't see the other rooms, and the people who were eating in the garden seemed to be having a lovely time. It may have just been a one time thing, or perhaps their economy/shared rooms.

I'm sure the staff would have been delightful if we had given them the opportunity. As per the terms of the booking I had to pay for one night and they let the other night go.

Room Tip: Don't stay in economy/shared bathroom unless you really have to.

A lovely family-run guesthouse, in the family's ancestral home. Clean, clean, clean, friendly owner-proprieters, and a charming location in Nazareth's old city. Big plus: a pretty terrace where you can drink tea or coffee or enjoy a cold drink. Another plus: Easy walking distance for churches and other attractions of Nazareth.

Staff at Vitrage is as friendly as you can get and the guesthouse is very charming.

In the middle of the old city, it is very quiet but within walking distance of most sightseeing sites. The patio is perfect for having a drink or a tea and they also serve homemade food. Rooms are small but cozy and clean.
