“The location of the first miracle Jesus performed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

This church is tucked away from the busy street. You walk through a large gate which opens onto the church area. There are ruins under the church accessible by a side door. A cistern which would hold a large amount of water is on display. There are gift shops on this alley which have an abundance of souvenirs, especially Cana wine.

“The way to do Cana”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

is to start at Zippori and walk the Jesus Trail through the Muslim village of Mushad and down into Cana. Cana itself is a commercialized area...with two churches claiming to be the "spot". Once again, we came up against the "place" being more important than the event....A great 10K walk if you are up for it.

“I learned a lot here.”

Just a small hole in the wall. It was nice to see and nice to hear about the Wedding and the meaning behind Jesus turning the water into wine. Make sure you have good shoes.

“I was glad I got to see this Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Cana is small town and not real great to look at but the Church is beautiful and meaningful. It has the water jars up at the altar which I thought was cool. Many couples renewed their vows there. You can buy their wine but I was told it is very sweet

“A bit of culture shock”

I guess not at all what I was expecting. A small dirty town, but the church is lovely, with a small court yard area. The toilets are no great shakes
