“only church”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Nothing left from the synagogue. The church is well kept, but people in Nazareth said that once you could see old hebrew letters around, but they painted them.

“Quiet Respite from the Bustle”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

Turning into the small courtyard (really small), away from the bustling shuk, walking to the end of the entrance way and descending seven steps, you go back centuries. I was lucky enough to be here alone, nobody around to talk or laugh; nobody to spoil the atmosphere. This is a pearl of a place and I recommend it to everyone. Go with the anticipation of standing in a spot where history was made. As a Jew, I do not accept Jesus as Messiah, but I was nevertheless greatly moved by the feeling of standing in a Crusader church built upon the ruins of the synagogue where Jesus is believed to have studied and prayed.

“we found two with this name”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

Maybe the idea of it is interesting.... Actually we found two sites, one near the main Basilica and another deep in the market (entrance to that is across from the Basilica). The one in the market is actually a lot more interesting.
