First of all, they have both Kosher and non-Kosher McDonalds in Israel. The big difference, to me at least, was that at the Kosher ones you can't get cheese on your burger, or anywhere else for that matter, nor do they serve any other dairy product, but somehow they make up for this by having some wild toppings which make these burgers more Israeli. Right now they are having a promotion where they are offering special burgers named after some of the world's great cities. I had the "New York burger" which, with a soda and fries, cost the Israeli equivalent of about $12, not at all a cheap meal, but Kosher meat is pricey. It tasted like the burgers we get in the USA, as did the fires. Typical McDonalds food served by a typically young staff. The ambiance is not so good here, one reason being that it is located next door to the Nahariya bus station. Unlike many restaurants in Nahariya, this McDonalds is open on Friday afternoons.
