“Very good property in Upper Galilee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2012

Rooms were clean and decent; we had a suite in a building close to the lobby. There are quite a few buildings here. Food was excellent and the hotel's chef is a good one. We were here for a program over the passover holiday so I don't know what the hotel is like the rest of the year. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the kibbutz; the kids can run where they like and there is a lot of grass and a very good pool which was heated over the holiday (i'm told it's not usually heated). it's not a luxury property (but not bad at all) and I would advise getting a suite if you want to be sure you are going to be happy with your room and to be close to the lobby. Also be sure and let them know you want the ground floor if you mind walking up a flight of stairs to your room. Bring electrical adapters because no dual voltage outlets and also no outlets in the bathroom. We went to the dairy farm nearby to milk cows and feed calves and see how things work; Manara is a nice attraction 15 minutes away with a cable car, alpine slide and trampolines. Near the hotel is kayacking (but not for kids under 10 and the water is very cold); a walkway along the Jordan River and a play area with ropes way up high that you cross wearing a harness. There are also some small play areas around the hotel and in the kibbutz which you can walk around in. Good place to spend an overnight or just to chill out for a few days with one activity a day nearby and then sit around on the grass or at the pool. They have good meeting facilities -- a nice place for a retreat.

This is a beautiful property in the north of Israel. Many of the rooms have been recently renovated (although not all of them as yet) and so are now not only comfortable but attractive as well. Although a lot of families come here, it never feels crowded or noisy and the food and service are quite good as well. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable and there are lots of great attractions nearby. This is definitely the nicest of the kibbutz hotels in the north of the country and although there are other good choices for people who want the kibbutz experience, this is probably the best of them.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a renovated room.

Our family had a lovely time at Kfar Blum in March 2012. Their food is AMAZING!! The rooms are incredibly clean and spacious. In Israel, large rooms are hard to come by so it was nice to treat ourselves to a little space and freedom from each other.

We would definitely stay here again when we come back. It allowed us to do great day trips and then come back to a warm and welcoming "homey" hotel.

The rooms are large in separate two-storey buildings, set in lawns and gardens. The furnishings are above average and the bathroom was spacious, with a hair- drier and a range of toiletries.
The food was excellent with great breakfast and dinner buffets with a wide selection of tasty food - eat all you want. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the public areas comfortable.
The river walk by the River Jordan was relaxing - at last there is water in the Jordan.
A very enjoyable couple of days and a great base for touring/

We stayed only one night at Kfar Blum. The weather was absolutely awful and we were in Kafar Blum to visit friends in the area, so we were not able to take advantage of all that they have to offer. It's a big facility, lots to do on the premises. Our room was OK, just ordinary. This was the most expensive of all the hotels that we stayed at in Israel, I was expecting something a little bigger and fancier. The internet was free, which is a plus. The breakfast was the best that we encountered in Israel, unbelievable amounts of delicious foods. This is a good location for touring northern Israel.

if you are not over 75 years or don't have really small kids you don't really need it. Great for wheelchairs and trollies, lots of place, big lawns, but hardly any athmosphere. Okay clean and tidy but little bit nerdish and boring. I have to admit I was there in winter time. Maybe in the summer with the pool and other activities at the Jordan river it would have been more interesting. The Restaurant - they call it their "dining room", what tells you a lot already - had pretty good food but even this was kind of boring.
Even we had an "upgraded" room, the room was poor.
I don't think I will go there again, but I will highly recommend it to older people and people with small children.

Just spent one night at this hotel. I would compare it to an older Holiday Inn or Red Roof inn. Rooms are spacious enough and bathrooms are small.

The location is great if you are touring northern Israel or the Golan Heights. The breakfast was terrific and the staff is friendly.
