“good place - for a short or medium stay”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

we took a suite. the room was very clean and spacious, and had a small balcony and lawn to go out to. the bed is wide enough but could be a bit longer - though we were fine. separation from sitting area, which can accommodate 3 children on an opening sofa and chair is only visual - no door. bathroom - spacious and comfortable, though I would have liked to get more medium sized towels for the hands, and a bit bigger towels for the body. in regular rooms there is only a hanging curtain between shower and the rest of the bathroom - not my liking. on the table when entering the room we had two sangria bottles and two small jam jars. it was nice to get it. we did not try the sangria, but the jams were excellent. breakfast is rich and everyone can find more than one thing they can choose from. swimming pool is awesome (the have two - indoors and outdoors). there is a small grocery shop, opens daily until 4 pm, on Sabbath too. the room has a tiny refrigerator, but we had to buy milk if we wanted coffee the way we like it. the suite had two air conditioners, that worked very well (we were in two very hot days). the closed had a door for hangins + two top shelves, and another door with 4 shelved and a drawer divided into two.

Room Tip: suite #12 is the best. we had #8 which was also good. the ones with an exit to the lawn are better...

I stayed two nights at Kfar Giladi Hotel in June as part of a group tour around Israel. The hotel is just gorgeous, the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of big touristy cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The hotel boasts many health and fitness facilities including a gym, an indoor swimming pool and sauna (I was told that there was also an outdoor pool but it was closed during my stay there).

My room was clean, well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi is available in the lobby area.

But the best thing was the amazing view and the beautiful surrounding! And the fantastic food offered by the hotel restaurant! The dinner buffet really showcased the Middle Eastern and European influences of contemporary Israeli cuisine. Everything – from the meat and fish dishes, the wide range of salads to the cakes and desserts - was fresh and delicious and showed a lot of care and pride in their preparation. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive. No wonder they need to provide all the fitness facilities for the guests. Highly recommended!

We stayed 2 nights during our tour. The rooms were very nice, some had fantastic views of the rolling hills and farm. The rooms were comfortable, clean and tastefully redecorated. The best thing about the hotel was the staff; they were all so friendly and helpful. The cafe/bar was great! The salads were amazing, and easily fed 3 people. The food in the restaurant was the best in Israel: fresh, abundant and varied. We would have loved a couple more days here to relax and explore.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the green hills and farm.

I stayed on the hotel for 2 nights with my family and and had a great time.
I would definitely come again and recommend this hotel Based on my experience

I'll start with the amazing location, the hotel is located at on the Kfar Giladi kibbutz which is a lovely place by itself, we had the opportunity to walk with the kids into the cowshed and watch the cows milking, we even saw the birth of a calf and the kids were thrilled about it.

The first day we spent out of the kibbutz, only 10 minutes away, we found plenty of attractions, we did rafting on the Jordan river (It's a quiet rafting suitable for children) , bush hiking of two hours and finally ate in a nice fish restaurant.

The second day we spent on on the hotel itself, enjoyed the Israeli sun and even surprised my wife with a one hour massage in our room.

As to the rooms itself, we got a ground floor room, it was much more fancy than we expected, the room was nice and clean (I recommend you to ask for a ground room).

I'll end with the food which was OK and the stuff that was amazing, the crew went out of their way to make sure that we'll feel like at home, they gave us great recommendations on how to spend our time and even took us around the kibbutz with their small club cars.

Room Tip: I stayed on a ground floor next to the dining room entrance, it was a great room!

My family and I visited the hotel for the weekend. Location is great, rooms are very beautiful and clean, decorated very very beautiful. The service is also very good, the staff are very kind and nice. Pool is great for the kids and also for aults, as well as the outdoor pool.
I really recommend to go to this hotel which is located in the beautiful North of Israel in the middle of the kibbutz. Also nice just to walk around the kibbuts and see how life is there.
Food is also very good.

It is very sad to find out how the "delux rooms" really looks like...it is outrages that this hotel has 4 star...you will be shocked to find out that you need to pay $240 for one Friday night for hotel that should get 2 stars for these rooms.

The Margalit building where the hotel host his guests in what they call "delux rooms" which are very small and miserable, look like residence building in youth hostel and not 4 star hotel, the building suffer from no maintanence...the carpets in the haul are full of stains and the elevator didn't work in part of the time.

The situation in the rooms is not better at all, the bathroom door without rail, the door frame was broken and even the tap and shower heads sprinkel all over. They mention in the hotel web page that these rooms has LCD TV...not really because they have very old CRT TV that stop working on the 2nd day but you shouldn't be surprise if the owners call these rooms delux rooms.

Do yourself a favor and stay out from this hotel because you might fall in the same trap...believe me that for $240 you can find much better deals up north of Israel.
