Description: Ernest Hemingway's 1952 novel The Old Man and the Sea depicts the world of a poor Cuban fisherman who fights the wild sea. These elements of sea, fish and noble nature have also inspired the establishment of the well-known restaurant on Jaffa's Kedem Street - The Old Man and the Sea.

Food is great and very reasonably priced. Great for outdoor seating on the harbor. Will definitely return when I am back!

Right on the docks. This restuarant has location, atmosphere, good food and service.

Before we could ask the table was covered with salads, bread and lemonade. The staff was friendly and helpful making suggestions. They switched between Hebrew and English so we were never left out.

The food was outstanding.

This this a must experience when visiting Tel Aviv.

This restaurant was recommended to us twice in a few days so we had to give it a try. Don't eat anything during the day, before you go!!!!!! As you sit down, the meze food starts to arrive -and it keeps on coming whenever something runs out. There must have been a dozen dishes. You can add chicken/meat/ fish to your meal, but don't overfil yourself with the meze or you'll never finish it!!!!!

Right in the old Jaffa port you can easily find this great restaurant with an Arab flavour. You are greeted with a complementary home-made lemonade and endless row of fresh and tasty mezes (with hummus, egg-plants with tomato and pepper, baba-ganoush, and tabule salad among my favourites). Menu is not that long but covers the main groups of main dishes; sea food, fish, grilled chicken, local kebobs. Small portion of traditional sweets and tea with mint/coffee with cardamon at the end are also complementary. Service is fast, friendly and artistic. A/c works well (what is important at least during long and hot local summer). Already thinking about being back.
