“this is GOOD...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2011

spur of the moment we wanted to dine, were in the old city of Jaffa walking around. It was rather cold outside, very few other strollers, actually I was looking for a restaurant that used to be there called Abullafia..(of the same family that has the bakery a little further away)which doesn't exist anymore.I looked around and saw Aladin..Good choice!! far from full,(must have been the cold weather influencing)no great shakes decor-wise,but comfortable.unfortunately 1 big draw-back..the "bathroom" is outside, quite a walk away, down some stairs,in a container sort of "place"..
The meal ordered was great...simple but good..a bit pricey, but overall we enjoyed it.substantive menu..
1 starter for 2,some soft drinks,main course,300 shekels excluding tip..(2 pax)

“Spectacular View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2011

It was a hot day. Too early for lunch, but time for a cold beer and a plate of hummus. We were welcomed, and treated well.

“Avoid this icky tourist trap”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2011

Beautiful location on the water but the service is poor and our meal was FOUL. The worst falafel ive ever had and industrial tasting hummus. We got a meal at aboulafia around the corner afterwards because the food was so inedible. Not recommended at all.

“Best View of the City and the Beach”

The view from the balcony is out of this world. Menu is dirt cheap.

“Excellent views and atmosphere in beautiful settings in Old Jaffa”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2011

Over the years I have been to this restaurant many times. I love to come here with friends and my boyfriend as this is the most beautiful (and romantic) place I can imagine. However, this time I went by myself. The seaview and the views of Tel Aviv coastline is amazing - day and night. The restaurant is situated in an old turkish bath and the building itself is interesting. If you only stay one day/night in Tel Aviv make sure you get here! After a lovely walk along the beach on the promenade from Hilton Tel Aviv to Old Yafo/Jaffa I sat down on the terracce for lunch; tempura shrimps (NIS 42)) and a glass of yarden mount hermon white wine (NIS 28), followed by chocolate mousse (NIS 34) and a cup of espresso (NIS 11). Most of the dishes on the menu are good; fish, seafood, salads and the middle-eastern starters served with pitabread. During summer I would recommend to come here from sunset, if you - like me - prefer to sit out on the terracce. It is a fairytale coming true. Enjoy!
