From the moment the glass tubes of aperitif arrived I just knew I was in for an exceptional culinary experience. We started with a delectable bread basket followed by a pomegranate salad with a spray on dressing, so unique and perfect for there is nothing worse than an overdressed salad. The young waiter offered me a taste of an Israeli chardonnay which I loved, little touches like this are what this restaurant is all about. It was almost too pretty to cut up and eat!
In between the starter and the main was a bouchon of sorbet to clear our palate which had moon stones, little things that explode in your mouth - amazing idea. My Portobello mushroom pasta arrived in a glass bowl on a sparkling stone platter - the only down side was I just couldn't finish it. Not a reflection on the taste, I assured the waiter as he took my plate away. Finally came the desert, I had the meringues with lemon zabaionge - light, fresh and crisp, 5 little balls of pleasure. The chef also delivered some macaroons with our tea and coffee. I have had a meal like this ever in Israel and will absolutely return next time I visit.
