my family and I wanted to take a small vacation away from home and relax, and that is just we did at Daniel. right from the start the staff was very welcoming, even the security officer at the entrance was very helpful and courteous directing us to the parking area, Bar the receptionist was very helpful and informative and welcomed us with a big smile. the room we received was very inviting and big with a great view of Hertzliya beach and the Mediterranean. we even had a baby bed waiting for us set up with fresh sheets and a protective baby crib bumpers - that was very nice to see!. the Friday night dinner was very nice, the food was very much to our liking, the Saturday morning breakfast was GREAT!, the waiters and dining room staff are very well trained and polite, making the dining room a pleasure to spend time and relax in during the meals.
All in all we had a very good time at Daniel and we are most certainly planning to visit again in the future.

My family and I have been staying in the Daniel for many years. We enjoy the location, hospitality and attention we get from the staff, who are attentive and friendly!
We always stay in the Club Class rooms and insist on staying on either the 9th/10th floors because of the wonderful Housekeeper, Sholamite, who attends to all our needs.

The senior management of the hotel, under the leadership of Mr Weiner, with his team of Ms Oshrat and Riki, make you feel welcome and ensure you are satisfied with the services.

Highly recommend the hotel and as always we will be going back in the Summer!

Room Tip: Club Class rooms, especially those on the 9th/10th floors

Just when you think that the Daniel/Shizen has got it right, you begin to look below the surface.

The staff are courteous, friendly and responsive and the breakfast cannot be beat for quality and choice.

The hotel furnishings are tacky, worn, outdated and in dire need of renovation. The lobby/lounge chairs are mismatched, and like the carpet, are torn and dirty. On a recent stay, workmen were gluing the damaged carpet together while the lounge was full of families and businesspeople sitting having coffee - forcing them to inhale the noxious fumes from the carpet glue. Management, you do that work at night - not during your busy hours!

The rooms are totally impractical for business use. As other reviewers have noted, no side lamp, clock or usable work space with available electrical outlets. Room fixtures and furnishings are tired, broken and outdated.

I love good music as much as most people however, the hotel (Shizen) has a thing about intrusive music. It is piped in relentlessly 24/7 - EVERYWHERE! Immediately outside the bedrooms (plain stupid, annoying and totally unnecessary), in the lounge and public areas and you can't even escape it to have a quiet discussion over breakfast - business or otherwise - without being forced to listen to Madonna or Roxy Music beginning when breakfast is served at 7:00am.

My pet peeve? When you enter the lobby a sign proudly proclaims, "Free! Wi Fi." In other words, it's "free" for anyone walking in off the beach or street, while guests, who pay hundreds of dollars per night for a room, are gouged $20/day plus VAT (PER DEVICE!) for what everyone else gets for free. That is plain ludicrous and usurious when $50 per night budget motels in Europe and the U.S. long ago stopped charging for Wi Fi. The Daniel/Shizen needs to immediately cease this ripoff practice! It leaves a foul taste in guests' mouths and makes the management/owners look like shallow opportunists.

Would I stay here again or recommend it to my business colleagues - probably. Even with its numerous faults, the location cannot be beat. The food, while pricy, is good and the staff tries hard. With that said, the owners really need to spend some serious money cleaning, renovating and modernizing this place to even come close to being rated a four star hotel - which it is currently not.

Management, please take note of the above comments.

This hotel is very nice and relaxing. The pool is so big, it is amazing very nice and huge .
The staff is so nice and helpful they always smile. This is our second time and we can't wait for the next time.
Breakfast buffet serving there.

I've been with my coworkers in the Daniel's hotel returant (coffee?) for a breakfast, it was excellent and rich, we had vouchers but from what I saw the prices were a bit high, but reasonable for this type of resturants. The waiter did take her time though, and we felt it was too busy in there.

Only carpets needs to be cleand. Excellent breakfast buffett. I had the best view from my room window. The hotel personal were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location was very for taking bus to train station in Herzelia.

We normally like to come to this hotel because of the team.today i came and the guest relation manger talld me :"Albert , if you are so happy please write a reviiwe at the trip web because it is helping other customer".
We like to come and spend time at the pool . The breakfast is execlent with alot of salads.
