“Not a spa – very tired and over priced”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We paid $50 each for, entrance, locker, military/cafeteria slop lunch and a towel and the place was run down, dirty and not maintained at well. Beach is a tractor drive away from the main building which was inconvenient. It was summer break and the place was packed with children and a few tour buses. The dead sea was great and a must do but find another place enjoy your float.

“Dirty, run down, and a huge dissapointment.”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

I visited the Ein Gedi Spa around 15 years ago, as a kibbutz volunteer, and had great memories of the place. This week, I took my cousin from the UK who was over visiting for the week. I was shocked and dissapointed to see that the place was incredible run down, dirty and tnot maintained at all.
The location is amazing and has a huge potential to attract tourists, but was a serious let down. The showers were disgusting, actually I was unable to bring myself to take a shower there.
It seemed strange that there the pool bar was closed, and there was no where on the actual beach to buy a cold drink, bearing in mind that the beach is a tractor drive away from the main SPA this was very inconvenient.
It looks like Kibbutz Ein Gedi have given up on this resort. Next time I will be visiting one of the up market hotels to hopefully get a clean shower.
The man in reception also gave me the impression that he could take or leave my custom.

“Fun and relaxing”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

There is a main pool to lounge in or by. Further down they have an area for mud baths and sulfur showers (and random wax figures like Jack Sparrow and Superman!) Then hop on the tractor train for a ride to their beach area- plenty of seating and showers to rinse off after your dip. Inside they have locker room that are decent in size. And they have sulfur baths in there also. There's a restaurant on the lower level that serves a pretty good variety of food. And the staff was very friendly.

“Spa time”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Ein Gedi Spa is in the beginning of the Dead Sea and the location is quite nice.
The Spa itself is not the newest anymore but its comfortable and the sweet water pool is needed after bathing for a few hours in the dead sea.
The way to the Dead Sea is easy, cos you will get a pickup.
On the beach itself there are loungers.

“Good place to float”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

The spa itself is overcrowded and quite generic, and comically removed from the sea (apparently the water level has dropped dramatically in the few years since the spa was built). The beach is unexceptional, but if you're in the area it's as good a place as any to float for a few minutes and experience the Dead Sea.
