I've heard of this guesthouse a while ago but only last month had the chance to stay there. The guesthouse is quite small but has a cozy intimate feeling. Walking around the village reminded me of some villages I visited in India where you can experience a unique culture which is different then what most people know. People are happy to meet you and the owners are visionary people trying to make a change in this place which suffers from man years of neglect.
This is not a regular hostel visit - it's a comprehensive experience that blends the village and the warm guesthouse all together.
Don't miss out on having dinner in Ahmad's house - food is amazing and the price you pay for it (Around 10 Euro) is low comparing the value and the special vibe.

We will come back again.

P.s.
Be aware that there are many wedding going on in the village until late. You will hear it well from the central location of the guesthouse. Better join the party :)

Small but so welcoming, clean and comfortable. Take a walk along the river as there is quite a lot of birdlife, continue on to the old dam/mill and aqueduct area, walk the streets and chat with the children. Great surf beach if you are into "waves".

Room tip: The Inn is on a corner so traffic noise is audible, but that is part of the experience. No aircon, but fans work well if needed.

We came to Juha's Guesthouse after a long hike, and immediately felt like home. The place is clean, the volunteers have a lot of knowledge of the area and we got some great tips from them, and they were welcoming, friendly and kind. The village is beautiful, and has the most beautiful beach I've ever seen - completely untouched, clean and non-commercialized. We enjoyed a fantastic homecooked dinner by the hostel's recommendation - we were worried they may not cater to us, since we're both vegan, but the food was both vegan and delicious!

The guesthouse is located on the main street, so it might be noisy outside. I think it's a good idea to have earplugs with you, even if you take the double room.

I loved visiting Jisr az Zarqa, and staying at Juhas made it even better. They gave us some tours to world class beaches, which surprised me, and then we had a BBQ on the beach that night. Luckily its a great place to stay, since its the only one in town!
