“Very good restaurant at the old Caesarea harbor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

This restaurant offers very good and local food as well as business lunch. The salads are very delicious and fresh. It is directly located at the sea shore with a nice sea view. There's a free Wifi at this place, too.

“Food & Ambience - What else could you want?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

There is something so magical about sitting at The Crusaders Restaurant in the harbor of Caesarea, Israel. Located right between Tel Aviv and Haifa, this place is simply not to be missed. If weather permits, you should sit outside at a table overlooking the beach and Mediterranean Sea. On one side of you is the gorgeous turquoise water, on the other side, the remnants of the ancient harbor. It doesn't get much better!

Start off with a selection of tapas (the Israeli salads so beloved in the country), then move on to the fish (you won't have any room left but never mind - its worth taking your time).

My favorites are the seafood platter (a platter for 2 is enough for a table of 3) and the Sea Bass filet baked in an individual pan with chopped onions and peppers on top. YUM!

The restaurant offers a simple selection of Israeli wines, and you should definitely order a bottle. The place is packed on weekends but they always manage to get everyone in.

When visiting Caesarea, this place is a must!

“Israeli cuisine. Great location. OK service. Excellent salads. Good mains. Awful desserts.”

Busy and understaffed. Excellent small plates of Israeli salads to start. These are really very good. Good mains. Awful prefabricated desserts. Very pleasant location with views.

“Decent enough food but rude service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

This restaurant has a nice setting next to the sea and we were happy to find a table on the terrace. We had a starter and main course which both came in decent portions. The food was fine overall but was quite expensive. The service had been fine throughout the meal, although a little slow to respond. When we paid the bill however the waiter became very agressive and said that we hadn't paid enough, although we had given a reasonable tip (it was just under 10%). He was very rude to us and because of this we refused to pay anything additional to what we had already paid. The attitude of the waiter really spoiled our experience of the restaurant and we would not recommend it. We would suggest going to Helena instead which has better food and charming service.
