“Best Restaurant in southern Israel!”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

Many Restaurants we have and had in Beersheba, but Yakuta is the best. Very good food from different places: Morrocan, French and middle eastern food, made by a friendly chef that comes out from the kitchen and explains personally to every guest. I reccomend the salads that are very good and more than reccomend you to stay until the tea is served in old tradition Morrocan style. The traditional desserts are tasty and are always a good end to a great stay.

“most amazing Marokan restaurant”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

We arrived 3 hungry people to the restaurant.
The owner helped us to pick the food and insisted we take the special Marocam salads- he was right. we never had such good ones.
The Cuscus was airy as it should and the stuffed vegetables were simply great.

“Most amazing Moroccan food I have ever had. And the host, too.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We had a business dinner at Yakota. Let me start with emphasizing that this was the best meal I had on this trip to Israel. My host called ahead of time because I am pescaterian and Yakota specializes in meats. The owner of the restaurant replied with "no worries, I will spoil him." And he did. Very much so...

As stated, although Yakota specializes in meat, in particular brains, tonsils, bone marrow, testicles, etc... the owner/cook came out from the kitchen to check on my food restrictions. He then wandered off and a little armada of small dishes with little appetizers kept coming towards us. All without exception were very good and some truly remarkable and memorable. In particular the smoked eggplant spread, as well as the oranges and dates infused with rose water. The main course was a delicious fish in spicy Moroccan sauce prepared to perfection in a tajine. In addition, there was a large dish with freshly hand-made couscous topped with steamed vegetables and chick peas. The latter was sublime and never to be forgotten. The copious and filling meal was finished with nana tea, as well as some 'Moroccan cookies' which were varied selection of quite delicious sweets.

Some tripadvisor reviewers complained that the food was expensive. Sorry, but we paid about $50 per head (including large beers) which I find more than fair for a meal of such quality and volume.

A delightful complement was also the friendliness of the host/owner/cook who really put a lot of effort into making this the perfect home-cooked-style professional meal. Overall, an excellent experience. If yakota would be catapulted to my home-town, I would take all my guests there. In fact, I am surprised this restaurant is not the top rated placed in this town.

I will be back, for sure.

“Special Evening Out”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Yakota is truly a gem - the chef makes sure that each guest feels personally welcomed and special and offers courses that he thinks will best suit those in front of him. The food is delicious and unique!
Yakota is very pricey however, so definitely not a place most people can go to all of the time. Certainly a great place to save for a special occasion :-)
You won't be disappointed and if you can't finish your plates, they are happy to send you home with a doggie bag!

“A rare sources of quality in a food desert...”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

The food made here is made the love, care and experience. Both of the times my wife and I dined there we elected to go with the chef's choice of dishes. This is certainly a pricy option but the one thing you can count on here is that the chef knows what he is doing. The oxtail, lamb, tagine, vegetables and wine were truly flawless, certainly on par with the food we had in Morocco. Try something new and trust the chef. Again, it's pricy, but totally worth it my experience.
