Taos Cow received accolades for its ice cream, well deserved, but it was morning so I opted for coffee and a home made scone. A good decision!

I love Ice Cream! I look forward to our summer trips to Cape Cod for my next favorite Ice Cream place there, Lewis Brothers. The Taos Cow ice cream was awesome! Even my stepson who isn't a big ice cream eater said it was the best. We had seasonal flavors at Christmas time:-) They also had food but we didn't try that on our trip.

We stopped into Taos Cow on our drive back home. It was nice to see that they not only serve ice cream, but breakfast and lunch as well. It was a little crowded but worth the wait. Great coffee. Awesome waffle! The ice cream was good, but not great. I'm a Blue Bell ice cream fan and Taos Cow's ice cream was lacking that creamy texture I enjoy from Blue Bell.

Taos Cow is an ice cream place that also serves short-order breakfast and limited deli sandwiches. They are known for quality ice creams in unusual and local flavors. Cherry ristra contains local cherries, chocolate, and pinon nuts. Chocolate/Mexican chocolate contains cinnamon and chunks of Mexican chocolate. If you aren't adventuresome enough for Pinon caramel, there is always vanilla.
Contrary to one review, Arroyo Seco is NOT a wide place in the road. It is the narrowest possible with room for one car and a donkey cart. You may find Taos Cow on the road to Taos Ski Valley at latitude 30 degrees, 30.95 minutes, longitude 105 degrees, 34.2 minutes.

Whether coming off the mountain in the winter or summer, this place has inviting ice cream and good coffee. Although we did not eat here, the menu looks quite good and will be part of our plan for our next trip to the Taos Ski Valley.
