“great place to explorer and the beach I like the most to relax”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

I really recommend to walk through the ruins at the park there is a lot to see, even the local dont know all of it, some of the wonderful and historical ruins you can see only with a guide or someone who know how to walk around the park.
there is always people...would not recommend to stay for the night.
I love this place (during the day;), you can gather with family and friends, make a picnic or just hang out at the beautiful beach it has the most spectacular view!!!

highly recommend!

“Standard parc”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

It's not spectaculair as they say.
When you walk there, there is not much extra to see....
It's more like a big standard park, then as a national park where you can see a lot of things, specially for a country.

“Great place to spend an afternoon”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

I have enjoyed taking an easy talk in the park and absorbing the preserved remains of the time passed. The archeology as well as the great coastal location of the park make it a pleasant place to spend the afternoon. See the Israeli National Park website for more info.

The special things to see in this park are:
• The world's oldest arched city gate, from the Canaanite period 1850 BCE !
• The pillars from the remains of the huge Roman Basilica from the 3 CE.
• The walk along the ancient wall path with beautiful views of the sea (if not too hot!)
• The remains of the old port where the beautiful Roman pillars where shoved into the stone wall for support. The crashing waves here are beautiful too. This can be found at the southern beach of the park.

If you visit during the warm months, bring a bathing suit and enjoy the private beach.
There is a small snack bar in the middle of the park, near the basilica and restrooms.
There are outside shower facilities at the campground.

During the summer the park is now open till 10:00 at night! (Not sure about hours on Friday/Saturday)
