Uri Buri is an excellent fish restaurant. Although they list shellfish, they can prepare kosher meals as well - we went there with 2 religious friends, and all of us were highly satisfied. We had dinner outside, which was pleasant - and the price was very reasonable.

We had lunch at Uri Buri in Acre while visiting Haifa. It is about 45 minutes from Central Haifa. While it is a "tourist stop," the food is very good and reasonably priced. We had fish entrees (salmon and sea bass), salad, excellent bread and lemonade (very popular in Israel). One of our best meals in Israel. And the front windows look out on the sea.

Wow the fish and Seafood here were mindblowingly good. I have eaten in fish restaurants all over the world and I can honestly say that every dish I had was perfection.
I have his book at home and his knowledge of fish is staggering. If you are anywhere near you HAVE to visit.
Down to earth vibe with a fresh, in season food cooked perfectly - this is what eating out is all about!

We are regular customers at Uri Buri as it is our favorite restaurant in the world. After more than 8 years with endless visits to the restaurant we truly believe that Uri Buri is the best sea food restaurant in Israel from all points of view: food, service, atmosphere, value for the money.
The restaurant situated right on the ancient Akko pier, overlooking the water (from across the street) - interior decor is simple and beautiful, set inside an old Arab-style two three room building with high ceilings and large windows. The cuisine at Uri Buri is both inventive and delicious.
The owner, URI, Uri is an absolute charmer and you can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu. URI is always in the restaurant, welcoming the customers, explain his excellent cuisine . The staff is always knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. We've never had to make a reservation, always had room for lunch or dinner (although there are always other diners there).
You must try the "tasting" menu as it truly an amazing experience.. ...we strongly recommend it! Its HALF PORTIONS serve to the table so you can try more more until you have had enough. every dish is more incredible than the next!!! the Coquilles St. Jacques are to die for, the cured salmon with wasabi sorbet is a major highlight, calamari coconut soup is fantastic, their caramelized St. Peter's fish was amazing…..pretty much every dish that we tried are extraordinary testy and unique. Promise you will not find a disappointing dish, even not one.
Defiantly this is the BEST Seafood restaurant in Israel ! Don't miss it .
