As a local who lives not far from Acre, I have been to many of the hummus restaurants in town -- and several of them are very good. Hummus Isa is my favorite -- the hummus is consistently good, the staff is friendly, and there is generally no need to wait. It is simply a small, owner-operated, reliable place that makes tasty hummus with no pretensions. Some of the other places in town suffer from their overblown reputations -- and thus have either long waits or rude staff, or both. This place is just simple, good food made by someone who is not pretending to do anything other than make fresh hummus. The only drawback: because it's so small, they don't have much variety -- no falafel or chips (french fries) for example, so not great for kids. There is just hummus, and salad, and pickled vegetables. That's it. And it's great.
