If you feel like paying $5 to watch a very boring video before walking through a two room old bath house go right ahead. Quite a nice bath house, but really a waste of time to walk through one. Otherwise I would save your money and visit an active bath house sometime for a real experience.

The Haman is quite nice.
The movie in the beginning is for my taste a bit too long and boring.
Still the architecture and the sealing of the Hamam is very beautiful.
You shouldn't miss to visit the Hamam.

If you avoid sitting down and listening to the jocular presentation of the history of the bath house, you will probably not find anything about the place cloying. Indeed, it is an amazing series of rooms. The video though which accompanies the presentation takes a blasé view of the grisly history of the individual who constructed the place, Jezzar Pashah, who was in life a monster. I noticed also that the video distorted the history of the defense of Akko by asserting that Jezzar did not need the assistance of the British to prevent the Emperor Napoleon from taking Akko. Also unmentioned what that Jezzar ordered the murder of all wounded French soldiers who had taken refuge in a Christian monastery. Those who find it funny to hear how Jezzar murdered all 39 of his wives when he found out that one of them had been unfaithful to him but could not determine which one have a sick sense of humor which I don't. My wife and I had enough of this and so we walked out.
