“Second climb with LTA Tours”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Its was really amazing trek from Sembalun, lucky cloudy with no rain, make the trips very fantastic with beautiful view. Trying from Senaru at first climbing, bored with rain forest from entrance gate to Pos 3 Senaru, the rest was amazing, but trekking from Sembalun on East entrance gate, I found 100% beautiful view, best view I found in my life on the way down to lake, want to stay longer but dark and time running so fast. New experience when our guide Herman take me jump to hot spring water, wooww...unbelievable. Great...

“Covered in cloud on the day, but still worth the visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2014

The most amazing surrounds of any volcano I have visited, and I have seen a few! So high that the top was covered in cloud on the day of our visit, but the friendly locals, monkeys, and views from the slopes were just amazing

“Trekking Mount Rinjani”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2014

Mount Rinjani is a fantastic experience. Word of caution, it is a hard trek if you are not fit. Prepare your self couple of months before the trek. If you are over 50, definitely think about your fitness and take a 2 night, 3 day trek.

“Super great trekking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

For us it was one of the best experiences on our three-week trip in Indonesia. The landscape around Mt Rinjani is super nice. However, it must also be said that the hike very strenuous and athletic experienced hikers is suitable. We booked on the Internet in advance at Galang Ijo Expedition and opted for a private tour. We were able to decide for themselves the hiking, speed, meal times, etc.. Although we paid a bit more than in a larger group of hikers, but it has certainly paid off. The provided equipment was great (Even they provide us camping chair, Toilet tent, Thick mattress with pillow ) and our guide was super friendly, could well English and explained, and a lot of interesting things. We still had two Porter there, who were also super nice. The porters and the guide cooked us always delicious and varied food. In the evening we sat with our guide and the porters together around our campfire and were much about the Indonesian life and culture meet. Even if the private tours are somewhat expensive (by European standards but still cheap) I can highly recommend it. In addition to top-gear, one must also not adapt to the pace of the other, but can determine this yourself. In a larger group to get better at most other travelers in contact, but the contact with us to our guide and two porters was very interesting and always very pleasant. On our way back from Mt Rinjani the Porter and the guide were trying to collect the waste from other trekkers and to carry into the valley, which we found great. Can highly recommend a Mount Rinjani trek and Galang Ijo.
