The rooms were spacious with huge beds, everything was clean and air conditioning was good. Good location on the edge of sengiggi with many restaurants close by, it was a peaceful place to stay even during Ramadan when the mosques were loud and great views of the bay.

Service around the hotel was generally very good but was tainted by unnecessary administrative processes on reception which made things more difficult than they should have been and gave us a bad impression of management.

Breakfast was good including western and eastern foods, the pool was lovely and the staff attentive.

We arrived at Puri Bunga Cottages the 8. july and should stay at the hotel for 2 weeks. From the first momen t we arrived

The the hotel is a little old, but for us who have been travelling a lot, living in 5 starts hotel and sometimes in sterile and Cold atmospheres, was this really relaxing. The deluxe rooms are simple but very clean and our room had the most beautiful view ffrom the balcony over viewing the ocean.

And the garden that surrounds the hotel is a chapter for it self. Very beautiful and well trimmed. It was always a pleasure to "climb down" the staircases to come to the road. The employe are very polite, heartly and friendly and very important for us - they had a lot of humour. Every time you need help in the reception they did every thing to help. That could be arranging tours or just helping you in any way.

We will go back in september to enjoy another stay at this cosy place and this time we will stay for one month. We can recommend this place to the travellers that want a local atmosphere and just want to go for relaxing, diving or whatever you needs are. Oh just forgot..... The breakfast is delicious.

Perched upon the hillside some independent cottages of this hotel have a good ocean view though the beach is not very close to the hotel. Tacky interiors, leaky toilets and terribly squalid breakfast are the downsides of this property apart from trudging up and down the hill several times for everything. The WiFi is great and the rooms are spacious. There is no room service or mosquito nets. which becomes necessary after sun set. The staff is super friendly and there are plenty of eating options nearby.

Room Tip: Try to get the rooms from 13-22 of any level..they have the best ocean views

We stayed here for one night as part of an Intrepid tour. The hotel itself is pretty dated and decorated in Balinese style, but has a lot of charm. The welcome drink we were offered was pretty toxic orange juice! Best avoided!

The rooms themselves are quite spacious, clean and with noisey AC. The bathroms are also recently decorated, fairly modern, clean and with a good shower and water pressure.

Other amenities include a pool, which we didn't use but looked fine and a breakfast buffet (you have to ask for a pancake or eggs as this is not on the buffet table).

The down side to this hotel is it's close proximity to a busy main road, which is very noisey with mopeds and cars. I would recommend asking for a room as far away from this as possible.

The Puri Bunga is one of the older hotels on the Sengiggi Strip. The rooms are decorated in an baroque Balinese style that tries too hard, and yet is very charming.

The bathrooms are clean, the terraces are lovely, and the pool is fun. I don't see how anyone could regret staying here.
