I planed to stay at CF Komodo Hotel before and after my Komodo Live-aboard.
Pick up from the Airport worked perfectly. The Airport is only 3 mins away from the Hotel ( but don't worry you cant hear it ). The Hotel is on the quiet hill above Labuan Bajo. You have beautiful view on the ocean. The rooms are very basic but clean with a comfy bed air con and a garden bathroom ; )
The family Veronica and Adriano and their staff Elsa and Gusti are very helpful.
As is said i planed to stay for 3 nights only. Unfortunately a volcano nearby erupted and flights got cancelled. I ended up staying 2more nights, they where extremely helpful to try to get me on a plane and drove me several times to the airport. I ended up leaving by boat but their support was great !

If i come back to Labuan Bajo i will defiantly stay with them again.

Just Right for your stay in Labuan Bajo

Being near the airport was important (in that we were picked up and taken back there without a worry); but more importantly, we had a beautiful, clean room, a terrific view, and the staff really cared for us. We were given a refreshing papaya drink and water upon arrival , and our breakfasts were delicious. Elsa was like a sister to us, making sure that the next day we would have the best Komodo dragon trip ever. She accompanied us to Rinca, then to our own little island for snorkeling, and in the evening we saw the fruit bats rise to the sky for their “dinner” in Lubuan Bajo. We met an Australian couple who were having an evening drink outside their room on the balcony, who were extending their stay an extra day to go back and scuba dive. We loved the owner, Veronica, met her kids before they went off to school, and were very pleased with the driver who made our trip to the harbor and airport so easy. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We had twin beds and a wonderful view out our window. The higher up the hill, the better the view...

We stayed here after doing a boat journey and we was getting a flight the next day it's perfect for that as we was 2 minutes from the airport but the hotel was lovely very secluded it was basic but clean and the staff and owners could not do enough for us we had welcome drinks brought to our room we also had breakfast it the morning brought to our front balcony. Overall i would say its clean and basic but really enjoyed our stay there even though it was only one night because everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Would defiantly recommend

It's located up hill and only 5 minutes from airport. When we came, they gave us nice welcome drink. The owner is very friendly and helpful...Room was nice and the view is nice too. The only thing to complain is the location of the room..i mean, wow we need extra energy because it's up hill and there are a lot stairs..my God. And the 'angkot' only stop about 300m away from the hotel so you will need some more extra energy to walk before taraaaaaa...meet the stairs. Overall,i like this place..so quite and nice staffs.

I stayed there for 5 nights. Lovely staff and lovely view when the sun is out. It is a bit of a walk into town but that is not a problem is there are shortcuts and angcots available. My main gripe with with the place was the condition it was. It needs a lick of paint and the decor could be updated. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and therefore recommend it.

This hotel is located on the hill overlooking Labuan Bajo and the harbor on the way to the airport. The view is magnificent. The rooms are modern and fairly new with comfortable beds and aircon. The bathrooms are in the back of the room, outside, with an open ceiling. Interesting and kind of fun as within the plants in the bathroom there are usually a few guests like frogs or the occasional gecko. The staff was just wonderful and really try hard to make your stay comfortable. They were waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and dropped us off for our departure. They also arranged a boat for us to go see the dragons and helped us settle in. Breakfast was simple in the morning with pancakes one day, eggs and toast another and coffee and tea. The room has a kettle for hot water and although does not have safes, it has locking cabinets.

The hotel is about a 20 min walk to town down a hill (an of course back up a hill) and is not really super convenient if you go into and out of town a lot. We walked in the morning to go diving and back in the afternoon and then again for dinner. You can rent motorbikes for $7.50USD per day in town or grab a moto for around $.50USD if you can catch one. The closest restaurant is about a 10 min walk and sits on the hill overlooking the harbor.

The negative was no wifi at all so if you need wifi to stay in touch with work. (as we did) you just have to go to a local restaurant to get it.

The price value for this property is great for the area. We had a nice stay and I would recommend it. (Next time I would rent the motorbike though! Although the exercise was good for me) Being in town would be more convenient, but would probably be a lot noisier.

We managed to get this place through our dive shop (DiveKomodo) at a discounted rate (350k instead of 450k), which was reasonable for the room condition and AC (I think our toilet had a hot shower but we did not get it to work - not so much an issue in the sweltering day though). The accommodation options are not very good in Labuan Bajo (many hotels are located on a hill and are similarly steeply priced) due to the large numbers of tourists/divers driving up the prices, so we were happy to take this place.

It is a fair bit of a walk away from the city (10-15 minutes), and the roads are dark at night. I stayed with another friend so walking to and from the city was not an issue. We managed to get picked up to the hotel from the dive shop and sent to the airport when we checked out. The airport is really near, so if the boss is not around to send you when you leave, you should be able to walk there or get transport.

About the room itself: the condition was a lot better than the fan room we got at Gardena Hotel. The outdoor concept for the toilet was great! The toilet is large and spacious as a result, and ventilation was not a problem. The room consists of two beds and a little cupboard; very sparsely furnished. Caution though: the beds were lumpy; the springs were spoilt in some places so there were large dips in the bed.

The best part of this hotel was the service though. This hotel is run by a family and the ibu (boss lady) speaks very good English. They serve bread for breakfast but we managed to change it to mi goreng for the 2 days we were there because kami bisa cakap sedikit bahasa indonesia. Try it! Mi goreng is definitely worth it. The ibu is very warm and friendly and the family genuinely tries their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

If you can, bring a backpack! The roads/steps in Labuan Bajo make travelling with a luggage difficult.
