It was only two of us visiting the mansion but the nice and friendly tour-guide was still willing to explain us the whole details. It was just like being taken back to the past. Careful with the slippery pavements in front of the mansion.

A living antique ! worth the visit, study the history of this generous wealthy man and visit his cousin ( Cheong Fatt Tze) mansion the following day in Penang. Plenty of furniture, family picture and complete story, really inspire me on the hardwork of chinese immigrant during 1800s

Grab a slice of important's Medan history in this building. The tour cost Rp 35000 and was worth it. Knowledgeable guide.

The architecture of the house is very unik. An ancient Chinese design house. Entrance fee is Rp35,000/person & a tour guide will explain to you.

Tjong A Fie really know how to indulge him self by getting all the best for him at his time.
We can see how good his bedroom is and living rooms are.
His grand daughter maintains it and opens it for the public; this is really a smart and best way to support the preservation of the historic old building in town.
I feel my self as lucky to see it by my own eyes, I don’t know if this can stand still in the next decades to come. Hopefully.
