Inna is a chain of hotels owned and operated by the Indonesian government. Having stayed in a few, I can say that they vary from dreadful to good. The Inna Dharma Deli is definitely at the good end of the scale.
This hotel is located in the centre of Medan, adjacent to the central town square and is the former Dutch colonial Hotel De Boer although there is little that is still recognizable except from the facade of the building which houses the lobby.
The standard rooms are located a bit if a walk from reception whilst the deluxe rooms are located in the tower wing.
My deluxe room was simple but had a nice view over the town square. It was also large and clean. The bathroom was fairly outdated and the TV had only local stations with no cable TV at all.
The food in the hotel was good and and fairly reasonable priced. The buffet breakfast was also good and the staff took care to ensure that the food was toped up often.
