We (2 families) arrived in late afternoon, and were directly given our rooms after a very smooth check-in last June 2017.
The hotel is walking distance from Benteng Fort de Kock, and in close proximity to Bung Hatta's birth home (first Vice President of Indonesia), and Lubang Jepang (a bunker during the Japanese invasion in Indonesia (1942-1945).
Rooms were in good condition and cleanliness were maintained. Although we did have a slight problem as they assigned us to smoking rooms (we requested for non smoking rooms) regardless our concern as we brought children with us.
However, they came fast to "our rescue" with 2 cans of fragrance spray for rooms and apologized. So we appreciated the gesture.
Lobby is grand for the size of the hotel and beautifully decorated.
Swimming pool is sort of indoor - outdoor style and it was a good experience.
In summary, good hotel, friendly staff. I would stay in this hotel again shall I come to visit Bukit tinggi in the future, and if they can guarantee a non smoking room for me.More
