Borrowing bonnie2405's words, it "clean but basic". It was well located just in front of Losari Beach, one of Makassar point of interest (Anjungan Pantai Losari) and in front of Somba Opu street where you can easily find souvenir shops and food tenant. But for me, it was not the best location in Makassar. The surrounding area was kind of old area of Makassar, you wont find a major shopping center, cinema, or major brand food area here within your walking distance. Basicly, at night, you will find this area a little bit unsafe, at least for me. As my preference, panakukkang are is better with a newer shops and major shopping center.
The hotel itself was built in the middle of shop houses and as a result, you will only have a room with window for front and back room. Left and right side room wont have windows. I took a standard room there for the cheap price, but for me it still overpriced for the facilities they're offering.
The room itself was small, very small around 3 m x 4 m in size, or less, i'm not sure, but it was clean. Pillow and bed was nice and smells good. The bathroom was clean with a shower. They tell us that they have hot and cold water running in the shower, but i only have hot water at the last day (day 6). No hot water in the shower for the rest 5 days. The TV channel was matched 3 star standard. A lot of channel choice if you're bored. So it was OK.
The thing that was unique about this hotel was it's elevator. You can see the sea while going up to you room, the door and the back of the elevator was made from glass. Another good thing about this place was it's staff. They are all very friendly, including the security.
If i was made another trip to Makassar, i think i wont be back to this hotel, next time i will try to find a hotel in panakukkang area.
