Stay here for a short holiday. expecting pleasant stay from good reviews and not disappointed by it but....

Pros
-affordable hotel rates
-excellent service from staffs especially ms emmy who reply my emails promptly and she is very professional. Thumbs up !
-hotel room is spacious and clean enough
-location not bad. 15-20mins from batam center ferry terminal (60000 rupiah). 10 mins to nagoya hill mall (40000 rupiah)from hotel. 5 mins to BCS mall ( walk is 15 mins)
-opposite hotel is a nasi padang stall which locals said is good. Did not try though.
-taxi available right outside hotel door.

Cons
-room aircon take a long time to cool down the room
-no safe box !
-with all lights on during night time, room still looks dim
-not enough power socket. Boil water with their kettle had to boil by bedside socket? ?
-toilet flood easily after bath.
-very small cafe for hotel breakfast. Too crowded during peak breakfast time

Overall still good and will definitely come back and recommend to my friends.

Booked for 2d1n at this hotel one week before our stay(5-6 October 2013).

Emails were all replied promptly, by Emmy, within the day itself, the latest(longest reply) I received was within 1 day.

From Batam Centre terminal, we took a taxi(60 000 idr) to the hotel. upon reaching, we were greeted by the hotel reception. it was only 10am batam time. Trying our luck, but then we were told to come back within an hour as our two superior rooms was not ready yet as we asked for connecting room facility(1 double and 1 twin bed), if we were to check in early, it does not have connecting facility.. Had to pay 1.4 mil rupiah as deposit(of which we off set the hotel price upon check out)

We took taxi to bsc mall(40 000 idr) where we had early lunch, shop for groceries, went back around 1pm, it was 35 000 idr by taxi. Our rooms(822 and 823, corner rooms, street views, level 8- highest level) were already ready, but just a little hiccups as the connecting door was locked, as well as our fridge door, but it was solved within 10 minutes by the housekeeping team, not much of an issue.

Shower stall was a little small but we made do with it. basic toiletries were provided, with towels and room slippers. No safe though. Aircon was working well for both roomsbut in 822, the "fan/flap" was not working but it didn't matter much as the whole room still feel cold nonetheless, beds were comfortable. 1 of the pillows in the other room was stained but it was a small issue. (2 pillows for each bed).. From our hotel room, we can see bcc hotel and the streets.

Took a taxi to nagoya hill mall, for only 60 000 idr, there is always a taxi ready infront of the hotel, you just need to inform the reception.. another 70 000 idr to harbourbay terminal for seafood dinner, where we only spent around 500 000 idr on 2 crabs, one garoupa fish, tofu hotplate, kailan, 3 coconut drinks, 4 rice and one coca cola. there are alot of seafood places by the kelong(cant remember which one we went, it was 2nd from left)... so u had to choose one, food tasted 4 out of 5 stars. service was excellent. complimentary watermelon was provided. took taxi back 60 000 idr to hotel(the staff helped us to look for a taxi).

Booked massage for 4 people at 10pm(which was postponed to 1030pm) it at level 2, only 1 couple room and a few single rooms... only 100 000 idr for 45 minutes back and shoulder.. other prices were alright. masseur was friendly and skillful. ordered room service at 12am batam time, 60 500 idr(including taxes) for one plate of fish and chips. the staff who brought up the food was friendly, full of smiles. really felt at home. the food tasted so good we were tempted to order one more plate to share!

Breakfast buffet was included in hotel cost, it was pretty packed but we managed to get seats for 4., food was okay, omelette station, noodles, rice, fried rice, potato wedges, crackers, etc, mostly local food. there was also bread, fruits, salad, apple juice, pineapple and mango juice. tea/coffee were served by the staffs. plates were cleaned promptly. friendly customer service.

upon check out, we took back our deposit(after deducting hotel cost). it was another 65 000 idr taxi trip to the batam centre terminal.

Service was really good. 5 out of 5. housekeepers were all full of smiles, reception team did not sigh at all when we asked alot of questions, like where to eat good seafood, recommendations and how much is each taxi trip to the malls. Emmy, one of the reception team also scanned for us the hotel map which was very customer orientated.

We will definitely come back to this hotel, hotel is near to bsc mall, 10 minutes trip. 20 minutes to nagoya mall. and 15 mins to batam centre terminal. despite being a 3 star hotel(without swimming pool), we really like this hotel.

We booked the superior double for 3d2n. We were all delighted that they allowed us to check-in at around 9am which was too early. Thank you!

The room was spacious enough and we could view the a fish pond from our windows. Well at least we got this side, instead of facing the street which could be noisy at night maybe. Our bathroom doesn't have a bath tub but we didn't mind so long as the heater was functional and it was. Wi-Fi was weak from our room (fourth floor) by most part of the day but gets faster in the early morning. Cable channels include HBO. Breakfast Buffet was great for us, they served western and local foods.

Location. 20 minutes by taxi from Batam Center, walking distance to Top 100 mall and BCS mall. Less than 10minutes by taxi to Nagoya Hill Mall.

Kudos to Karbel who was so prompt in his replies each time I sent him enquiries. Thanks so much for the assistance.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the street to get a sound sleep.

The review will focus mainly on the issue of cleanliness.

At first sight the room and toilet seems clean and neat. But my wife and i were horrified to find that the same face towels we have been using was unchanged even on the third day. They were even folded neatly and hung as if they were fresh towels! How do we know they were the same old ones? My wife washes and dried her face on the towel. Some of her makeup foundation were left on the towel. Pls refer to picture for the towel on the 3rd day. Clear foundation marks and hanged neatly to pass off as clean towel!

The floor towel used for the bathroom was also unchanged. They folded it neatly and let it dried outside the bathroom without changing. To pass off as a fresh one withiut a doubt.

We are not expecting world class amenities for this price. But basic cleanliness is compromised. Horrifying. A pity as the people in Batam as well as the hotel staff have been generally friendly and polite.

check in smooth, rooms comfortable, toilet and shower area a bit crammed, in close vicinity of most of the malls and pubs, breakfast decent nothing to write home about
Missed the swimming pool in a resort sort of atmosphere would have been a great plus point, food and beverages very expensive, but quality of food was good.
All in all a nice hotel, have nothing to complain about good pleasant staff and most speak decent to good English

Our party of four stayed here on the 20/7/13. After our ferry docked at Batam Centre, it was a short taxi ride to the hotel IDR60000. Check in was smooth & faultless. The check in Lady at reception was very helpful & spoke very good English. We checked in around 11am so that was good.Our rooms where 602 & 613. The only difference between the rooms being one had a new A/C unit & 613 being on the road side.My Mother in Law & friend commented that the road noise was noticeable but not unbearable. The room is a reasonable size & with this being a weekend away from our Singapore trip it was a pleasant relief from the small Singapore standard. The only complaint was that the A/C was a bit temperamental & maintenance came & fixed it straight away.
A taxi ride to Nagoya Hill shopping center is only IDR50000 & there is a taxi out the front of the Hotel all the time. We had dinner at the restaurant & there was several choices available but we chose the buffet which was pretty good value at IDR80000. Breakfast was a good selection of local & western choice. Overall, this is a good all round hotel & great value for money.
