My friends & I have been staying at the Pacific Palace every 2 - 3 months in a year since 2012. Our main purpose to Batam is to have our massage at the hotel.

After lapsing for a year, we went recently on 29 March 2014 but no rooms were available hence, we stayed at the opposite hotel, Novotel, but still patronized Pacific Palace Spa for the full body and shoulder massage.

The usual experienced masseurs were no longer working there and we were a little disappointed with both massages this time round. We didn't feel as relieved as before but the body scrub was good. The massage in the past were much better.

Looks like we will have to try out other spa during our next visit to Batam, don't think we will go back to Pacific Palace Hotel. However, based on past experience staying at the hotel, it is still worthwhile.

For me everything was ok...
been here many times already but this my first time to write review in here...
first about breakfast and room was nice...i like it..
but i was disappointed about dim sum buffet on sunday..
the fried wanton and the vietnam spring roll the smell is like a bit fusty or the skin is not fresh...
and i was ask the supervisor also..and they said the taste is right like this...
but i told them, everytime i go batam and stay here always eat the dim sum..
the taste different...

now i thinking about your staff service on golden palace...
and your quality of food...

i went to spa with my friends, and was amazing...thumbs up for spa....will go there again :)

Brought 45pax of friends and residents on two trips to Batam, and 260pax again, on the third trips. On two occassions (during our first two trips), we stayed at the Pacific Palace Hotel, known to many of the guests as the "Cruise" Hotel, and at the Golden View on our last. The Pacific Palace Hotel, was favourite choice, to the many whom had been, on twice and stayed at the two different hotels. Rooms were more spacious and larger at the Pacific Palace Hotel, quieter and check-in was fast and no hassle. Nice and spacious toilet, but no long bath compared to the Golden View, anyway!, our programme were tight and there is no time for us to make use of. There are food stalls or hawker huts at the back of the hotel, compared to only Room Service at the Golden View. Karaoke place at Golden View are much better than Pacific Palace Hotel. Front desk are friendly and helpful at Pacific Palace Hotel. Ballroom at Pacific Palace is more classy with a nice view on the roof top. Staff at waiting during breakfast are helpful and freindly too. We are going back to Batam for the forth time and will definately consider the Pacific Palace Hotel again.

Room Tip: The higher the better, as there are live band on the lounge at the lobby and a disco at the lower le...

Stayed here for the second time, and enjoyed it. Despite some of the negative reviews I have read, I found the place to be good. Staff are friendly & courteous, although the hotel taxi services are definitely more expensive than usual rates, the taxis are 7 seaters, and very comfortable.
My room was clean but one of the lamp was not working, but the overall ambience was good and relaxing.
My mum love the massage there as she finds it better than Eska massage parlour, worth a try i guess? But the manicure was okkkk. Manicurists were friendly, but not exactly professional, so don't expect an excellent looking nails with just $8SGD.
&! We enjoyed the food @ Pacific Seafood (behind the hotel), although it looks rundown, the food is comparable to some restaurant we went (in fact better). Great view of the cruise-looking hotel too.
Overall, It was a great stay
