I stayed with my partner for one weekend night. The hotel is close to the zoo (Komodo, Orang Utan, etc) and not too far from the city centre. Although there was quite a crowd at check-in, we were checked in by the duty manager quickly enough. She upgraded us from the pool terrace room to a first floor room which is the same level as reception. The room airconditioning took a while to cool the room (there is even a notice on this near the door , so no need to call the front office to complain!) but otherwise the room is great with a view of the pool. There was a wedding the night we stayed, held over the pool and that was a good opportunity to witness a local wedding ceremony. Fortunately the function ended at 9pm so the music did not disturb our rest for the night.
The complimentary breakfast was adequate but the Janggala restaurant was kinda small to accomodate all the guests at that time, we had to sit out in the unairconditioned area outside. Still, the view of the surrroundings compensate for the heat.
Checkout was fast and efficient. We both liked the hotel and would definitely stay there again in the future.
I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in the beginning of April, and I must say it was a really bad choice. It looked like a great deal in internet but the 1 bedroom apartment was terrible. We upgraded to a Novotel suite after one night and things got a little better, but then we had to pay more too..the reception staff was nice and welcomming the first day of arrival, but they were not so service minded when I complained about the room after the first night. I will not recommend this hotel for anyone. The internet was very expensive and the food in the restaurant did not impress me either.
