the bridge opened to public around 2009 and connecting the two big island Java and Madura. It took about 5-6 years to build and about 6 km long. Prior to this bridge, people used ferry to cross the Madura Bay which too around 30 mins to cross comparing to 5-10mins by bridge.
The scenery is towards the Surabaya port Tanjung Perak and NAVY base plus all the harbor activities. Also a giant 20m statue of Four Faced Buddha and a seaview temple of Kwan Im Goddess. As to the Madura side, we won't see any interesting views as it still an empty land except hundreds tents of local food hawkers. Very messy but locals like it stopping by there as the unofficial rest area.
