History. Style. Design. Lifestyle. All this - in a real tobacco factory, which you can visit absolutely free, and even get a free historical trail city tour with the company bus - again for free. A must for all Surabaya visitors, interested in history, fashion and photography (because you can make some really beautiful pictures there). You can also watch the workers making cigarettes manually even nowadays - but that you can't take pictures of that. Definitely worth a visit.

The draw is it's free entry.
Place is kept clean and air conditioned.
Once you enter the museum, the fragnant scent of tobacco will hit you but not the 2nd hand smoke that I detest.
Good collection of antiques from the Liem family and a road trip through the evolution of tobacco production.
Cigarettes are still manually rolled and pressed by workers and you can have a glimpse from overhead. You will be impressed by their sheer speed to roll a stick of cigarette.
Worth a trip is you are in the city and it's an easy taxi hire from their blue bird app. You can choose fixed price ride too.
