“Well preserved cultural historical site”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Sukuh temple is located in karanganyar regency which is near to my family's residence, the site is unique as the temple is resembling temples of mayan culture. Also this temple is famous with erotic carving which resembles fertility. If you love historical site, it is a worthy place to visit. Additionally....the view is spectacular

“Maia Temple look-a-like”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

The story of Cetho Temple is very interesting. You will get more knowledge after visiting this place. The architecture is very philosophical and the surrounding panorama is also good. If you go to Cetho Temple, don't miss this place.

“Interesting temple with beautiful surrounding”

Nice view from the mountain. The temple looks like an old Maya temple

It is a very small temple, the steps are very high

“Small but interesting”
Reviewed January 31, 2014

Located about 15 mins drive from the higher Candi Ceto. Entrance is Rp 10,000. Looks a lot like the Mayan pyramids and supposedly designed with erotic carvings but only found one sexually related statue. The stupa has a staircase in the centre that leads up to the flat roof top. View from there is great if there is no crowd. Would recommend going about 4pm if you don't like crowds and if you love sunsets.

“Worth your long trip”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Located on top of Mount Lawu , about 1 hour drive from Solo. View from top was very nice.

The landscape and design are unique. The temple has a pyramid - like design. Has many small statutes put alongside the entrance and walkway.

It was well maintained despite the fact it was located in remote area and small entrance fee (Rp5,000).
