We stayed here for a few days whilst visiting Borobudur, Prambanan plus other temples. The accommodation was clean and spacious, copper sinks and sunkin tiled bath. We went on the tour of the coffee plantation and found it interesting and the mushroom room where they grow their oyster mushrooms was very interesting. The Spa treatments are to die for, wonderful & relaxing, Spa staff are respectful and well trained and their ginger tea is fantastic. Restaurant is good, food wonderful. We had a lovely time here lots of gardens to see and explore. Afternoon tea is a nice way to chill out after a day of exploring, great variety of teas.

This property is lovely but it was quite a chore to get there (we had a poor guide and driver who had their own agendas). Our villa was lovely and very comfortable although not good lighting for readers. This isn't a place to go if you have any mobility issues - lots of walking on moss covered stones that were quite slippery when it rained. The restaurant truly had some fabulous dishes but the chicken just isn't one of them. The staff were nice and helpful. The brief tour of how they make coffee is interesting. There isn't much to do here but be here which if you're on a romantic getaway or something might be enough but it wasn't for me! They do have a lovely infinity pool. Be careful not to get a villa with the highway behind it because the noise can be distracting.

definitely unique and one of a kind.
great location, in the middle of coffee plantation.
the outside shower is refreshing.
great room (joglo - traditional javanese home).
very secluded, away from other guests.

advise for the italian owner :
tell your busboy that local clients definitely can afford your rate.
foreign people (bule) may look like they money.........
some of us local, have money to spend for vacation also.
it's disturbing that your employee asked us if we stay at your hotel,
when we are your guests.

I stayed in Losari with my family in the middle of Februari 2010. It’s gladden for us cause we found the Javanese authentic villa and rural ambience with the friendly staffs. We enjoy a cup of coffee from coffee plantation and viewing the amazing mountain. Gamelan music made us to peace and relaxed. We join with the wonderful activities such as traditional dance & batik lesson . The tasty Indonesian cuisine in the restaurant made me want to long stay. We truly found the green resort with Javanese authentic villa.

I've been there for my honeymoon trip. And it was amazing time for me and spouse.
All the traditional things covered by nature atmosphere makes us want to stay longer there. We enjoyed the private dinner besides the green green grass and beautiful garden. Also enjoyed the tour at their coffee plantation and have a relaxing massage and spa that was so delighted for us.
The food was also delicious and the service from their staff was very exellent, they are very helpfull. Hope we can visit there again somehow...

The resort does a good, if pricey, job in the publc areas such as grounds, reception, restaurant, tours, airport transfers & spa. But the room was terrible. Old furniture (especially patio), uncomfortable bed, room stank, barely functioning air conditioner. Profound disappointment after looking forward to country clean air after 6 weeks in Jakarta. View of volcano was very good from patio.

My wife, son (4 years old) and I stayed in Losari for 3 nights during the seclusion day on March 2010. We booked for an Ambar Villa that is conveniently accommodated for all of us. We were welcomed by a friendly doorman in reception that happened to be a train station than escorted us to the main lobby, the original building since 1828 where the former plantation owner lived. A charming and friendly female staff served us a welcome drink & cold towel. The staff was very helpful during the seating registration and gave us the appropriate information for onsite and offsite resort activities. We enjoyed the Hamam spa very much; foods were also excellence especially for the Indonesian cuisine. It is perfect place for a short holiday, even with the children. The kid’s club offers several of traditional activities, yet the batik making, children dances and gamelan lesson have given different colors and ambiance to Losari in maintaining the authentic Javanese activities. The free afternoon tea, morning yoga session and coffee plantation tour was other privileges to enjoy in Losari; we had the fresh Jamu, coffee and also Durian during the coffee plantation tour in coffee shed. We spent a half day tour to Borobudur Temple, about one hour trip from Losari and extended with the village tour by horse cart. We stopped at Yogyakarta for city tour and visiting Prambanan temple on the way back to the airport to complete our experiences. Thanks to Losari team who have made our stay most enjoyable and succeeded our expectations.
