Stayed on this hotel for 3 days last November, enjoyed the room.. the bed was so comfy and nice bathroom. Breakfast was OK. The Swimming Pool on the rooftop looks great, but the bar by the pool was still under construction when I was there. Hotel location is just opposite PVJ Mall, very busy traffic in the morning and after office hours.

The hotel's main tourist attraction is the Paris Van Java Mall situated directly opposite the busy Jl Sukajadi. If you don't mind the traffic jams along this road, staying in this new hotel can be pleasurable. The complimentary airport transfer and a 24-hour convenient store next door with outdoor & indoor seatings are also added plus.

The hotel's chauffeur who met us at the airport was friendly. We booked 2 rooms through Agoda and checking in was a breeze. We were told to help ourselves with the welcome drinks and tidbits already laid out on a table near the counter. The lobby is nicely decorated with beautiful paintings which weren't hanging on walls but placed on wooden easels. There are more paintings at the corridor and lift landing.

We used the room access cards to tap on a card-reader to use the lift. The reader detects the card and automatically take us to our designated floor. We can't manually press other floor buttons which are not our rooms, except the common level 6 where the swimming pool is located.

We were surprised at the spacious rooms and the free Wi-Fi. We had to log in about 3 times before we were able to use the wi-fi. The rooms were clean and nicely designed. The windows are wide and were screwed to prevent guests from opening it. All the basic room necessities like coffee-maker, safe box, mini fridge, TV, complimentary snacks, bottled water, 2 pairs of room slippers and hangers are included. The bathroom has 2 pairs of towels and all basic toiletries including 2 toothbrushes. However, there are no face towels.

One of the room's bathroom doors had a problem closing but they were quickly attended to by the maintenance staff. Housekeeping staffs also did a marvelous job in cleaning and replenishing with some added extras with the snacks and bottled water.

Breakfast has a good spread of varieties and they changed some of the menu daily. The restaurant staffs are friendly, smiling and remembered our preference for coffee and tea. On a Sunday, there was a "Jamu" lady serving herbal medicinal drinks. We are not sure if this is a weekly occurrence.

We encountered a problem during checking out, when a male employee manning the counter alone made a mistake in overcharging us. He was also entertaining other guests simultaneously. A female staff even appeared for awhile to ask him questions before disappearing. All these could have confused him. It was rectified but he should have been more careful especially when billing is concerned. We paid in cash but did not receive the change as it is the hotel's policy not to return it.

The chauffeur that sent us to the airport was friendly and even asked if we need to do any last minute shopping. He voluntarily sent us to Prima Rasa for some brownies and kueh lapis.

Overall, our stay in this hotel was very satisfying. We hope the hotel would maintain its cleanliness and attain higher employee standards for our future visits.

Just went to Bandung & stayed at this hotel. Room was dirty & dusty. Stains found on bedsheet. Complained to Duty Manager & was ignored. I had to personally call housekeeping at night to change the bedsheet because apparently when they cleaned the room, the bedsheet wasn't changed. Definitely will not stay at this hotel again for next visit to Bandung.

Great room and friendly staff. Good convenience store next door with snacks and drinks. Opposite Paris Van Java mall with many restaurants and good shopping.

Don't trust the concierge to negotiate for a taxi. Sent us on a 2 hrs toll around the city to reach trans studio that supposed to be 30mins away. 50k taxi ended as 130k!

de Java Hotel is a new hotel located opposite Paris Van Java Mall. The staff who fetched us from the airport was friendly. First impression matters and he remembered me by name despite meeting once/twice.

Location - a mere half an hour to airport. Opposite Paris Van Java Mall for last minute shopping, dining and Starbucks caffeine fix or to exchange currency. Money changer also available on the same street. Street stalls and Indomaret (a 24hr mart) next to hotel for snacks and mobile phones credits top up. So convenient!

Our rooms were spacious and could take another extra bed. Had a good sleep on the comfortable bed. Bathroom is fully equipped - don't bother to bring your shower foam, etc. One complaint though the heater isn't consistent. While showering, there will be sudden gush of hot water or cold water even though you had adjusted it to your preference.

Breakfast area was small so be sure to be up early especially during peak period. Great quality food served at breakfast. Missing the soto and laksa. You can taste the local jamu (herbal concoctions) on Sundays.

Wish the frontline staff could be as cheerful (and smile more!) as the staff who fetched us from airport. But will definitely come back here for its location and spacious rooms.
