I spent 2 nights in this hotel after arriving by train from Jakarta. The staff here is very friendly and we feel welcomed as soon as we entered the hotel lobby. Hotel room is spacious with 40 inch LCD and sufficient toiletries. The design and the interior of this hotel is something to talk about and we found it very exciting. There is even a chandelier in the hotel lift. Breakfast is sufficient with plenty of choices. Wifi is only available in common area, while in room they provide a wired cable. Definitely will come back here..

In July 2011 my husband and I stopped at the Amaroosa Hotel for 4 nights in a deluxe room(with breakfast) as part of a package booked through AirAsia. We were a little apprehensive about what to expect having read some of the reviews, but were suitably impressed from the time of arrival.
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the factory outlet shopping area and also is well placed for sightseeing.
The room we had was large, clean, suitably furnished for the class of hotel, and kept well serviced. The staff we encountered were all friendly, efficient and helpful; often going out of their way to make our stay a pleasant experience. When we had problems with an independent airport transport provider, the hotel front office made alternative contingency arrangements on their own initiative without charge; in the event this was not needed.
The food menu was perhaps a little limited for Western visitors, but the chef was very obliging and would generally arrange for any special requests.
The overall price paid was reasonable for the class of hotel and we would certainly visit again if in the area.

actually i like with the hotel design, lobby, restaurant, room, pool, meeting room.

the most important, i feel comfortable while staying in this hotel.

strategic location and not noisy, friendly staff.

one place that i like most is roof top.

i hope amaroossa can improve the existing facilities,

see you next time :)

Cheers

I spent 4 days 3 nights in this hotel for business. This hotel was situated at Jl. Aceh, just behind Jl. Riau (RE Martadinata) which was famous for its Factory Outlets. If you're hobby is to spend your money for any kind of clothings, then you're coming to the right place to stay. It only took 5 minutes walking to Heritage, The Summit, Cascade, Formen, Stamp Building and other factory outlets nearby. Or if you would like to take a culinary tour, you can ride rickshaw or "becak" to take you to Prima Rasa Bakery & Pastry, Bawean Bakery, Roemah Keboen, Nanny's Pavilion, Sederhana Padang restaurant or Dapur Penyet.

The hotel was clean, nice, tidy, and full with art deco style and European style luxurious materials (it could be seen from its thick carpet, paintings, chairs, etc). You could ask for free Internet Wifi (quite speedy access), whether in the lobby, restaurant or in your room. The room was luxurious, clean and spacious, so was the bathroom. The room also provided with table for ironing and also its iron, a rare thing that I seen available in other hotels.

The restaurant was divided into 2 parts, which were inside the hotel (non smoking area) and outside the hotel equipped with minibar for those who smokes cigarette. The food served there varies from Indonesian style to European style, with good and acceptable taste. During the stay, my favorite was Gulai Buntut (Oxtail in Curry Spices).

The open-air swimming pool was located at the 2nd floor along with few waterfalls, we could see it was small but I think it was still nice, considering the hotel size was not big enough. Beside the pool, we could enter the fitness room.
Overall, I recommend this hotel for business trip or family trip.

As I always mention, reviewing a hotel should consider between the cost and the service you get, only then it will be fair review. Overall my experience in ambarrossa hotel just like most of the review here. I stayed 2 nights with my kids. I got the price From booking.com total nett 194 USD for 2 nights. When we got to the hotel they charge us 9000idr/ usd. Well the price still good for the overall service we had. Not exceed our expectation but just good enough. My advice: call directly and get IDR quote.

Most of the staff always smile n showed that they really willing to help n made you happy. But 1 of the front desk supervisor, a girl who was called when I asked about the rate served us without a smile and ace a sour looked, well maybe she got a stomach ache.

Ambarrossa exterior and Interior just great, but it need new carpet and most important new towel and bathroom rug. I do hope the management read this. I stayed in room 526, I guess they upgrade me because the room look so big and located almost the end of the upper hall in 5th floor. The towel were almost grey and shredded, the bathroom rug just worse. Some water stained in the bathroom. I think it's a smoking room since there was an astray and matches, I can smell it a little even I did ask for non smoking but after a while it's okay. We were so tired from camping so we stayed about an hour before diner. The ac was not cold and there was an open box in the wall, when we left for diner we mentioned it to the front desk and everything were taken care. They even called to make sure. The thing is the AC thermometer I think was broken so for the next 2days we had very cold AC so we just turn it off when it become too cold.

Swimming pool so beautiful but so cold, hope the management consider having it heated from time to time when it's so cold n no sunshine. I ordered their cheese cakes and it was delicious. Breakfast is okay but their kerupuk udang/ shrimp cracker were so yucky it can't be eaten. I think it's really a cheap cheap kerupuk udang, they better change it to other kerupuk that cost less then serve that yucky kerupuk . After all breakfast were fine selection, not 5 star hotel quality yet but quite nice hope they improve they taste.

The driver rooms.. It cost 250.000IDR with box breakfast not good choice since no locker provided just like a barrack. For half of it with locker will be more make sense. My driver refuse to stay there n look for nearby motel which cost half of it with individual room with lock.

Location wise: not really near near factory outlet but quite near.
So to summarize it: love the hotel will comeback if they renew their towel, with good price.

Room Tip: The cheapest room is big enough. Any room just beautiful as the pictures. Just pick up the phone an...

Large room and clean. Only one restaurant and poor buffet selection. Technically there's a bar, but they don't have much. The bathroom is terrible. There isn't a regular shower, just one of those hand showers hung on the wall. Most people can't speak any English although they are very friendly.
There's free internet which is good. The hotel seemed very popular with Indonesians there for the shopping. But for a foreign business traveller, not a good choice.

Room Tip: Executive Room

Everything is perfect.. Feels like a queen here.. But the price is quite expensive now for me :(
The parking area is limited and we need to use valet service which is free of charge..
The breakfast is standard but the sky view resto on the roof is nice at night.. Wish to see you again amaroosa..
