“Traditional Musical - Nice and Cute Performance”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Saung Angklung Udjo is a complex which has a musical theater and a restaurant, but it is more well-known for its musical performance.

It was created by a local artist that had a passion in preserving traditional music and musical instrument. He built a musical school. So what you can see here is its student performance.

The performance starts daily at 15:30 local time.
The ticket is IDR50,000 / US$53.

Beside watching the musical performance, you will be given a chance to play the traditional musical instrument named Angklung.

You can eat at the restaurant at the same complex after that.
I like the performance. A good introduction to the local culture and art.

“Great performance for family”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

My family and I enjoyed the performance very much. My two boys had a great time playing the Angklung together with the others. It was a good way to involve the audience. Overall, the performance did a good job to educate and entertain in a fun way without appearing too commercialized.

“Traditional West of Java - Angklung”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

My favorite part was near the end of the show when the MCs instructed visitors to play the angklung together. Each member of the audience received an angklung with a number on it and together, under the MCs cue, we rattled the instruments. It amazed me how a group of strangers can instantly make such beautiful music together
