I and a group of friends came to this restaurant during our golf trip in May 2013. We choose to had our dinner here just to taste the local Sundanese foods because Gurih 7 is a Sundanese restaurant and this restaurant located at Jln Pajajaran, very near to our hotel, Padjadjaran Suites Hotel and Conference. Restaurant Gurih 7 served a variety of Sundanese foods but the most popular one was Nasi Timbel, so when the waiter come to make order, all of us ordered Nasi Timbel. Gurih 7 is a big and spacious restaurant with two entrances either using the front entrance at top level or side entrance at lower level. We came through front entrance at top level but the surrounding looks not so impressive, nothing special, full of tables and chairs but no customer, suddenly one of the waiter came and lead us to the lower level section using wooden walkway then staircase, suddenly we saw the other side look of Gurih 7, beautiful, surrounded by big fish pond, the water falls and streams make us feel like we are in a sundanese village, the building made from wood and bamboo and we sit on the floor covered with pandan leaf mat.
The waiter serve us with hot tea without sugar, most of the restaurant in Bogor, served free hot tea to the customer. The service very fast, within few minutes the waiter came with 7 sets of Nasi Timbel for 7 of us. Nasi Timbel consist of hot white rice rolled in Banana leaf, roasted chicken, fried bean cake, fried tempe, herbs leafs, cucumber, special chili paste/sauce/sambal and vegetable soup. The taste wow! delicious.
