This place was featured on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations...request bale #3 if you want to sit where Tony sat...plus, it's got the best view of the rice paddy!!
The restaurant itself is HUGE, and the landscaping is outstanding. I definitely recommend the Balinese smoked duck (need to order one day in advance). It comes with two juices, rice and veggies. Maybe order a couple other entrees to share. The crispy duck was super dry...nothing special. Nasi Campur (mixed rice) was pretty tasty but spicy.
Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation. And, even with a reservation, be prepared for slow service because they are BUSY! But, I think sitting at the bale with some friends enjoying a lazy afternoon is worthwhile.
