Green field is an oasis in Ubud as you do not expected from their outlook. When i on my way to my room, i was surprise with a big rice field view just between my doorstep. I stay in Bale Sukat Bali room for two night, just next to the pool, however i prefer to have upstairs room for more privacy. Typical balinese style door with nice craving, but the room is small, no TV, very simple facilities. Bathroom is large with huge bathtub. We spent time and enjoyed a lot in the salt water pool with the view of rice field. They offer room service for the breakfast and we really enjoyed the nice food that they provide. All the staff in Green Field is so helpful and friendly, they offer free shuttle to the town with comfortable vehicle.

Everything about green field was so lovely and makes us feel so enjoyed with the stay.
I will definately come back again for my next visit. Keep it up.

This beatiful hotel offers everything travellers need. In the middle of the city, but quiet enough with direct view into the rice terraces.
The huge windows bring the world directly into the hotel rooms.

The restaurant and pool area are great and the staff is friendly.

The hotel offers free transfer to reach various destinations in the city and retour.

We stayed 4 nights in a huge room overlooking the rice paddies. From our private patio, we could watch the sunrise reflected on the flooded rice paddies and see the farmer start his day with his water buffalo and ducks. From airport pickup to shuttle service, the service was gracious and accommodating. I chose Green Field for my birthday, and while we were out that day, the staff decorated the bed with a "happy birthday" greeting out of rose petals. There was a special bouquet, too. The center of Ubud is easy to walk to, but once back at Green Field, you are tucked away from the noise and crowds. My one warning is the many things you could trip over or slip on as you walk around the grounds, but hey, it's Bali -- gotta watch your step.

Room Tip: Go for a view of the rice paddies. You'll be off the road and in your own private paradise.

I booked the same villa that I stayed in back in 2008, Bale Pingit, with my mother on this trip to Ubud in May 2013. I was surprised at the new and improved Green Field Villas and Resort. It's quite different from 5 years ago. They have expanded, new reception area, new fish pond with lovely Lotus flowers and a new restaurant. Our villa overlooked the rice fields, and looked like a postcard every second from your windows, or sitting on the private patio, watching the birds, workers, sunrises and sunsets, offering and the special Bali things that go on throughout the day. The villa's are spacious, clean and comfortable, especially the beds!
The breakfast is also wonderful every morning served by the pool or on your own veranda.
The staff is happy and willing to help with any questions. They all speak very good English. My mom and I also took advantage of the complimentary shuttle a few times after a long day of walking, exploring and shopping in Ubud.
We also booked the rice field walking tour with Arta- it was worth the $15.00US each, very peaceful, informative, "HOT", and special, because Ubud and the rest of Bali seems to be building over planting new rice in the fields.... the Government there doesn't see the value in keeping the special fields thriving, since they make more money by building hotels and condos. Ugh..... anyways... get there while you can- Greenfield is a great location, walking distance to everything, quiet, friendly staff, wonderful pool, lovely views and affordable to boot!

we stayed in the delux & also standard rooms. Both were great value. Might even check out the bungalows next time which at 350K RP seem exceptional value.
Upstairs room overlooking the rice fields gives an ever changing panorama of activities as the farmers tend their fields with water buffalo, hand sickle & water tractor.

We stayed for six nights: four nights in Bale Sukat type room, balinese style, huge and nice bathroom, with lovely views over the rice fields, very good quality/price ratio, close to the reception so you get wifi, and two nights in Bale Semanpai type room, huge, nice and modern design, private big terrace, although the bed is a bit hard.
Breakfast is good (we didn't try eggs or asian dishes). Croissants are good, pancakes big, but not very tasty, I think they should provide syrup or strawery jam for those who can't take honey, as the tropical fruit jam is not very tasty.
The salt-water swimming pool is great, with amazing views over the paddy fields.
Very well located, just two minutes away from shops, restaurants, a great bakery, close to the big Coco supermarket, and within a short walk from the monkey temple. In case you don't want to walk till the center of Ubud (about thirty minutes), the hotel offers a free shuttle.
The staff is very friendly, always smiling and ready to help. Just a great and lovely hotel!.

Room Tip: Bale Sukat type room, very good quality/price ratio and lovely paddy views.

An excellent, relaxing, quiet place located walking distance from the center of Ubud. We stayed here for a few nights. We had the room facing the lotus pond near the reception. Our room was huge, with a large bathroom and a nice veranda just outside. The rooms have no TV, which is a plus. The downside was that the bed was a bit hard. The saltwater pool is also quite cooling and nice during hot days. The quality of the views around the hotel depends on the time of the rice plants cycle so to say. During harvest time it will not look so nice as during the time they are fully grown.

The service of the hotel was outstanding. Breakfast can be delivered to your room. The staff was attentive and helpful. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to drop and pick off guests around the center of Ubud. This is quite convenient, especially if it is raining.
