Stayed here for four nights and we enjoyed it very much.
Staff are very friendly and attentive.
Guesthouse is very well run, well organised and very clean.
Our room was very spacious and we felt the price was correct.
The owners were also very happy to tell you about the history of the family, the guesthouse and the village of Ubud. Their own stunning temple formes part of the guesthouse complex.
Everything (tours and taxis) could be organised (for the same price as everywhere else) at the reception making our life very easy.
Breakfast was good and we enjoyed one evening meal there when we arrived.
The gardens are stunning and the setting of the guesthouse is amazing.
There is a nice pool with lounge chairs and it's very private
The guesthouse is about 700 m walk to the town but as you walk there you also experience and see the daily life of the people in UBUD.
Mr Ketut and his son also took the time to explain to us about life in Ubud.
There are steps but the staff will always carry your bags if necessary.
Thanks to all for a wonderful four days.

Was there for a quick 2 nights. Well priced and located. Is a popular place for overnighters . Staff are very attentive and happy. Room was enough. Basic and clean. Not far from centre of town and walking distance

We stayed at Ketut's Place during our visit to Ubud. We had last been to Ubud about 8 years before and were shocked at how much it had changed - bursting with people, bumper to bumper traffic, pavements packed with people and generally very run down and commercialised.
Having said all of that, Ketut's Place was a haven of peace in all the chaos! We had two rooms at the bottom close to the river, so we did not hear the traffic at all. The rooms were big and the best were very comfortable - I had some of the best nights' sleep there! But be warned that there are LOTS OF STEPS to get to the lower rooms and no lifts, so do not ask for them if you cannot negotiate steps...
The staff are very friendly and we liked the fact that the family temple was in the grounds, so we could be part of the ceremonies of the family (from a distance). The breakfast is basic, but sufficient and Ubud town is a short walk, so we walked everywhere, including to supper in the evenings.

Room tip: The rooms closer to the river are the most peaceful

Dear guest, Thank you so much for your feedback. We really appreciate it. Ubud is lot of change in this year many building and shops, but Ubud people still keep their balinese culture. You still can see balinese performance dance and balinese lifestyle in Ubud specially in my place! See you next time.
Best regards, Ketut & family

Ketut’s Place - this beautiful guest house is like entering to another world in somewhat hectic Ubud. Located conveniently less than about 1 km walk from the center you enter Ketut’s, his family and their beautiful temple, which is right in the heart of the home garden. This really is a small haven to discover.

My room was the nicest little guest house ever with a beautiful terrace and entrance, a spacious bedroom and a well working bathroom. The room was always kept very clean and tidy and all my wishes were fulfilled. As I understood, some bathrooms are awaiting to be refurbished within some timeline. The facilities in my little house worked very well for me.

Koming, the first son and the manager of the place, is a true professional dedicated to his work and his guests. I truly admire his passion and attitude.
He is very generous and happy to share any information on the services and also about the Hindu culture, believes and traditions. Galungan was to be celebrated in a few days while I was there and one could follow closely to the huge amount of work the preparations took from all the family. On the very day of Galungan, we were fortunate and very honored to be invited to visit the family temple before the mantras and ceremonies began.

The level of hospitality and care at Ketut’s was very touching to me.
And I could sit on my private terrace in the beautiful garden listening to all the sounds not paying any attention to the time. Like my next door neighbor said, if we could only move to another location in Bali, but take this beautiful setting along with us. I think that says it all.

I wish Mr and Mrs Ketut, their son Koming and the whole family all the very best. I shall return to Ubud one day, needless to say, just to stay in this little haven one more time.
