We stayed at Nefatari for 2 nights only as it was not available for the other nights we wanted it. We booked a one bedroomed Villa but were given a two bedroomed Villa with our own private pool at no extra cost which was fantastic. All the Villas have private pools. The bedrooms each had their own ensuite which were spotless and beautifully appointed. I can honestly say that this accommodation is fantastic and we have travelled extensively around the world. Housekeeping was done twice a day -morning and evening.

The staff could not have been more helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Very chatty and always smiling. You can either have your meals served in your Villa or at the small restaurant. Breakfast is included in the room rate as are Airport transfers or pick up or drop off at other hotels. The quality of the meals is excellent and the cost is cheaper than to eating in town! A large beer is only approx .60c more than you can buy it in the Supermarket for.

The location is right opposite Rice Fields and the back of the Monkey Forest which you can walk down into if you are fit and brave enough. we walked through the Rice Fields but didn't go into the forest for fear of getting lost.

We walked to Ubud each day which took about 35-40 mins and was not a problem for us at all and we are nearly 60!. Lots of shops along the way after about the first 15 mins so an interesting walk. The Nefatari provides a car on demand for trips around the local area and they will drop you off and you can call them from any establishment and they will be there to pick you up in about 10 mins. We asked the staff in Starbucks to ring for us which they did with a smile and the car arrived 10 mins later.

The Nefatari is fantastic value for money and believe me you will not be disappointed. The photos on Tripadvisor are very accurate of the actual accommodation.

We would definitely recommend the Nefatari to everyone and we will definitely return here on our next visit.

We stayed for five nights at the newer villa Mawar and enjoyed the privacy of the villa. We did a lot in Ubud and found the driving arrangement very convenient. We would asked to be dropped off on one side of Ubud and would do finish with either dinner or coffee and then ask the place to ring Villa Nefatari to pick us up. This hardly took more then 15min, once it was so quick that we had to make it a take away coffee! The breakfast and afternoon is included and it was fine. The dinner menu is a little bit limited, but the food was yummy.. however we mainly ate outside. The staff is nice and the "middle aged lady" spoken off in another review kindly helped me to get dressed in traditional balinese clothing to attend a Balinese wedding. She just wants to make a living, like we all do. I also arranged a special dinner at our villa for my husband's birthday and I got the bed decorated with flower. This was done beautifully! Surprisingly there was not extra charge for this nor for the cake I ordered, but then shared with the staff. Overall this is a great place to stay, if you do not mind being not right in town.

Room Tip: Ask for a newer villa like Villa Mawar or Villa Mitir

We stayed here for 3 nights after our wedding and found it so peaceful in our villa that we felt we were in our own little world. The rooms are exceptionally large and the bathroom is well appointed with an open shower and free standing bath. The breakfast was yummy and the staff were so attentive, we only ever had to wait 10 minutes maximum for a shuttle into the main ubud area, about 5 minutes drive away. We had the honeymoon package and had a free hour massage each and an awesome three course candlelit dinner in our villa, I haven't had better beef steak anywhere in Bali! Overall could not fault this place, go there if you want a quiet villa for a couple or a small family.

So at the end of a mini tour of SE Asia I ended up in Ubud for 5 days. For three nights I spent my time at Nefatari. I don't need to say much.

The price is exceptionally good. The villas are beautifully done. The staff are polite, helpful and attentive and the food, although limited, is done extremely well especially the delicious included breakfast.

Whilst you relax in your villa with private pool in the evening you don't even need to worry about being bitten as hotel staff will come to light deterrants in the evening as well as checking on all your needs.

Perfect relaxing spot. GO. This place is a slice of perfection.

Room Tip: There are newer and older villas. I stayed in the older one but still found it excellent however if you want to make your experience extra special perhaps ask for one of these.
