A truly stunning resort. I can't say enough about how spacious the rooms were and also the resort itself. There are day beds scattered everywhere in the resort, including 2 in our outdoor area near our personal plunge pool. Magnificently appointed room with four poster bed, granite spa as well as the personal pool and relaxing day beds. The food is spectacular and affordable although my one criticism is the wines are way overpriced. Still this did not detract from our visit and we will be back. If you are looking for some peace and quiet in the middle of the madly busy Bali then this is the place for you. Highly recommended.

Me and my friend spend 4 nights in Ubud Village Resort & Spa late March 2014. This was a very spontaneous trip celebrating my friend's 30th - I have booked a private villa in the morning of our departure date.
The hotel is amazing! We have arrived late night - around midnight, beautiful Made and other members of the team greeted us with welcome drinks, and showed us to the rooms. As i mentioned, it was pretty late and we were starving so we ordered some room service - delicious!
Anyway, in general, the hotel is really good - private villas are stored away so you almost do not see any other guests but you see amazing views of rice terraces and typical Ubud scenery. Also, a special mention to the restaurant - the food is delish! Quite Australian(=high) priced but delish anyway.
Breakfast was delish - a massive variety of local and international cuisine, plus always a secret treat from the team - local desert or pancake or something else.
Spa facilities are really nice as well, although we ended up doing a lot of procedures outside of the Resort while exploring surroundings - but we have tried foot reflexology and it was exactly what we needed after day walking around.
We have also organised a 2 hour cooking class - which was a very pleasant experience, especially since we had it exactly on lunch time so we munched on our own freshly cooked dishes.
The team in the hotel are very helpful and caring and welcoming, but not in any way pushy. Since we were leaving very early in teh morning, they have organised a breakfast pack for us and coffes on our departure! Brilliant!
Ok, summarising the experience, i had amazing 3 full days in the resort and enjoyed every second of it. Definitely coming back!

Room Tip: We stayed in Villa 216 - all good, clean, no drama in there.

My partner and I have just left this amazing villa complex where we spent 4days. It was everything we could wish for for our first few days in Bali. Located just far enough outside Ubud's main drag that you felt the piece and tranquility advertised, yet close enough for a short car journey or 20 minute walk in to the main town. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble, always greeting you with a smile. The villas were spotless, we stayed in a private pool villa which had a lovely sunken bathtub, inside and outside shower plus the biggest bed I've ever slept in! Everything was incredibly clean-something I can be quite fussy about!! The breakfasts were great, and food in General was to a high standard-although Bali is not known for its culinary extravagance, this place did well. We didn't eat in every night as prices were higher than what you can get in the main ubud, but that's to be expected in hotels(I believe anyway!). Pool was spotless, gardens and surrounding paths were very well maintained, beautiful flowers and shrubs. Chipmunks are fun to watch running through the trees. Fantastic place to stay, made especially so by the staff there.

We booked a Rice View Villa at the resort for 4 nights for our honeymoon. We were warmly greeted on arrival and treated to a cocktail and a foot massage in our room.
The villa was beautiful. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and peaceful. Having your own private plunge pool was a treat. The resort pool was also spectacular, overlooking the resort.
The resort is a little out of Ubud, but the hourly shuttle meant that there was always the option to head into town for some shopping or eating.
We had a massage in the day spa, which to be expected was more expensive than in town, but well worth it.
Overall, our stay was exactly what we hoped it would be and we hope to return soon.

We went for our honeymoon to this resort, had a very warm welcome at the reception. They had arranged something special called Raja-Rani foot massage as a surprise for us which was very relaxing.
We booked a 1 bedroom Garden Villa, but this Villa had some size, pretty big!
Again as you would experience in Bali, the staff was very friendly over here too.
Only thing which might disappoint you are mosquitos!!..., but that is something you would expect in any villa in Ubud.
All in all a pretty decent experience.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as a special treat to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. We were spoiled rotten from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We had a Villa with a Rice Paddy view which was magnificent with our own private pool, a massive king sized bed, outdoor bath and shower (and an indoor shower too), very spacious dressing/vanity area. My husband did the Balinese Cooking Course which he really enjoyed and I was able to watch and interact with them whilst they did it. We had the complimentary afternoon tea which was just lovely. My husband used the spa for massages which he enjoyed and we had a couples session where he had a massage and I had a facial which was very nice indeed. The grounds are beautiful and very large but if you don't want to walk they provide a golf cart to transport you from place to place. Friends of ours had stayed here previously and whilst there purchased some art work that I loved - I had the name of the artist and when I asked at Reception if I could visit the artist one of the staff took us out to the artists hut about a 20 minute drive away - we would never have found it on our own!! Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like royalty. Would definitely go back and would have no hesitation recommending to anyone interested in spoiling themselves for a few nights.
