“Birthday trip ”
Reviewed March 11, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Spent 3 nights here with a Group of 4.
Villa is well furnished and has a beautiful pool. A lovely lady would organise breakfast and housekeeping for us daily. We also loved the overnight security. Breakfast was tasty but I felt there could be more food such as bacon, mushrooms ect. Ari was fantastic with organising day trips and dinner reservations for us. Villa could use a few extra amenities like tooth brush kit or shower cap. Otherwise a great stay. Highly recommend this villa

“Affordable villa with tasty breakfast”
Reviewed December 31, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

I stayed 2 nights at Ajun villa with my family of 6. We were provided with a local mobile phone on arrival, which proves to be very convenient to arrange for transportations and as such. The breakfast is very tasty. Do try the pancake! One of the best i have ever had.

One thing that is not so convenient about this villa - The toilet and shower arrangement is of an open concept design with no door separating them from the bed. Of course that is just our opinion. Others may love it.

“Great stay!”
Reviewed September 28, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A lovely comfortable villa. Pool was Devine. Breakfast was included and was prepared by Wayan, who also tidied the place daily. She did a great job.
Huge lounge area, and although it could get a little hot as there is only a fan, it didn't seem to bother us too much.
There were a lot of ants, but we would just spray around the door areas at night.

I stayed there with my husband and 2 young boys, 7 and 4. It was a bit too isolated for us, as we had to organise a driver everytime we needed to get supplies and food. This cost us 50000 rupiah each way.
My boys were always exhausted at the end of each day, so organising a driver each evening to go and find somewhere to eat, and my boys are extra fussy, was not an option. There was only one place that delivered food, which was tasty, quick and cheap, but was our only option.

I think a couple or group of adults would suit this property better as you could hire a few bikes.

If I stayed in Ubud again with kids, I would definitely stay at a place in centre Ubud.

It did present us with some challenges, but we still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.

I think there may have been resident rodent living there too. It never ate our food, but definitely frightened the life out of me! But sometimes that just holidaying in foreign country!

“Comfortable for a group with outstanding service”
Reviewed January 27, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Ajun Villa is a lovely property situated in a private location surrounded by rice paddies where you see the owners harvesting their crops from the comfort of your swimming pool. The pool is glorious. We travelled as two families with a child each. The bedroom are large with an ensuite each. They place a mattress beside the queen bed for the child. The bedrooms are air-conditioned but the living area is not, but this was not too much of an issue for us. The location is out of Ubud a bit but we did not have any issues with this. Ari made it very easy to get into the centre. He gave us a mobile phone on our arrival and then if we needed anything we just had to phone. We only needed to book 30mins ahead for a trip into the centre. The car fitted six people so we only needed one vehicle. It cost IDR50,000 each way, which is cheap. Ari could organise pick up too, but we found it easier to get a taxi as they are everywhere. Some would try to charge more for the trip, and we would have to haggle to get them down to the 50,000, so when we didn't feel like haggling we were just more organised and called Ari 30mins ahead for pick up. Ari has excellent english, and he was able to arrange so many things for us. We even left some personal belongings at the villa, and he organised to have them sent to us back home, including providing three options of delivery time and price for postage. The villa also has a motor bike that you can rent, which was very convenient when we first arrived and needed to get to the local shop for food for the two year old. We also arrived earlier than the book in time, Ari and the staff were so accommodating to let us stay. The staff also organised a babysitter for a night. We would recommend staying at Ajun Villa.

“Lovely friendly staff”
Reviewed November 11, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

At first I was worried Ajun Villa was a bit far out of town, but we hired 3 scooters organised by Ari, our host within an hour of arriving, and really enjoyed the freedom of exploring Ubud. On a scooter, it's only a 5 min scenic ride to the centre of town. It's also set among rice paddies which is cool and we found on the last day only a 10 min scoot to Petulu where the lonely planet describes flocks of nesting herons flying over every night.

It's a pretty villa, comfy sofa and very clean, good WiFi and nice small pool and gardens. The staff were also friendly and helpful, easily on hand but left us to it for the most part.

Only negatives were an abundance of large ants in and around the house - possibly a seasonal thing, and only fans to cool the main living area which meant it was a bit too hot to relax in the evenings on the sofa. The rooms are well air conned though.

We had 5 people, with two additional mattresses on the floors of the bedroom.

Ari was also great, easy to contact and a friendly good value driver for the day taking us to the bird park and airport in a comfortable cool car.

Very pleasant!

“The perfect Ubud villa”
Reviewed October 25, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

A group of 8 of us had a fantastic week at Ajun villa. Kim made the booking very easy and answered any questions we had. The villa was exactly as described and the views of the pool and trees out the back were so beautiful! We requested dinner at the villa for our first night which was lovely and we were cooked a delicious breakfast every morning. The staff were so kind and unobtrusive and we felt very safe with the security out front every night. The 2 bathrooms (both lovely) are quite open plan but this suited us fine as a group of 8 females. We were able to ring Ari the villa manager whenever we needed and he was so helpful in organising taxis and everything else. He also organised bikes for us so we could cycle to Ubud centre which was great fun, but not so fun on the way back which was uphill! I would recommend getting taxis (or renting mopeds) to and from the centre as even though we were all relatively fit the cycle back to the villa was tough. The pool out back was lovely to swim in and all 8 of us just about managed to fit around the pool and on the grass below to sunbathe. 'Bintang Warung' was about a 15 minute walk from the villa and it had brilliant food that was so cheap! We went back 3 different nights! It was the perfect base for our week in Ubud where we did loads of different activities and would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful stay in Ubud with everything thing still very accessible.

“Perfect quite location in a beautiful villa.”
Reviewed July 22, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We absolutely loved our stay at Ayung Villa. Its in a quite location with no neighbours either side of you.
A little shop near by to purchase snacks.
The villa is so big and modern with 2 big en-suites and a lovely cold pool to relax in. It has all your creature comforts in-house for you to enjoy.
And very fast wifi, which our teenage son's were very happy with.
Dewa and Made were wonderful to come and cook our breakfast every morning and Dewa was always on hand to transport us into Ubud centre and home when we called him. You are supplied with a mobile phone to contact the staff at any time. They could not do enough for us. Would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends.
