We spent a couple of "ultimately relaxing days" at the Chedi in Ubud.
The hotel and its surrounding are just perfect, an unique calming location in the middle of the rice fields. The staff was extremely friendly and engaged. There was a small hick-up with the pick up at the airport – the manager offered us very generously a complementary massage.
We also very much enjoyed the challenging, but still relaxing Yoga sessions in the morning and the delicious afternoon tee.
We were also very pleased to hear that the owner refrains from any major changes or expansions – the "one of its kind" atmosphere could be easily destroyed otherwise. We also hope that the rice farmers in the are – despite the apparently low revenues – keep the fields that well cultivated adding a lot to the scenery and allowing a nice walk around the hotel.
We will certainly come back to this exceptional place!More
