I laughed at the comments of "Awful", obviously, they must have some very old /unrefurbished rooms hidden somewhere. Our room was awesome, and I find the architectural very interesting. Big sunken bath and the shower are made from three long bamboo pipes, very interesting. I especially love exploring the large acreage and every corner has an interesting features of some sorts and the landscaping of the ground was beautiful. The staff at the pool were attentive, friendly and loves a chat. Our room was very clean, and absolutely no complain, par from a bit dim at night if you need to read. The food was as mentioned in "Awful" tough meat, nice sauce, small portion. We were there at the end of the holiday season and so only a handful of visitors, peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was ample as could be expected in resorts,breakfast/dining room a bit warm even in the early morning, no air conditioning.

Room Tip: No idea as it's 3,000 hectares.

Incredibly helpful, knowledgable staff. Amazing atmosphere inside the venue. Lots of activities to do. Definitely recommend going to the rice paddies and having dinner at Bridges. Expensive but amazing.

Everything is done to please the visitor in true Balinese style...they are a gracious people
Sit back and enjoy a beautiful stay Large grounds one can explore and relax in Choice of three pool areas...each wonderful in its own way Good dining if one wishes to remain on hotel grounds.....but free shuttle into Ubud gives a wonderful array of restaurants if preferred...and access to marvellous museums and galleries

Must comment on "Awful" were they in the right place? as it sounds like a very negative experience we had up on the northern coastline of Bali...cannot even begin to relate to that experience associated with The Mansion...did they get their accommodation mixed up

Room Tip: Any room would be wonderful...beautifully appointed ...a little way out but free shuttle is offered...

This place is crap! They claim to be five star, I would say maybe 2 star. It's very old. The rooms are old, the pools are old. The linen is old. We requested a twin share room (when we booked 5 months in advance!) and weren't given one. The room we were given had the bathroom in the same room as the beds! No privacy at all, would be strange even for a couple. When we asked, they did transfer us, and the room was a bit bigger. But the bathroom had a window so you could see in from the bed area and you couldn't cover it. The toilet had no door. The roof was bamboo so we could hear everything in the rooms next door and outside. The staff were walking around talking on their walkie talkies all night. And the other guests (a big group of domestic tourists) talked all night. I don't know why they didn't sleep at all. We complained about the noise on the third day (after two nights of little sleep) and we were told there were no other twin share rooms available! (They could have offered us two separate rooms!). What I am most upset about is that at this time, they failed mention there would be a huge party that night, with singing and people yelling into a microphone! It was so loud it would have been impossible for anyone in the whole resort to sleep. And our rooms were very close to the party venue, so even having headphones in with music playing I could still hear the awful music and singing. I called reception just after 11pm to ask what time the party would be finishing. He said soon. It didn't stop for at least another hour. It got louder. And then when the people came back to their rooms they talked all night. By the end of the three nights here we were very tired and cranky. The deals.com.au voucher includes a three course dinner. While the flavours were nice, it was the smallest piece of chicken I have ever seen. And it was very over cooked and dry. I've never seen such small serves of food before. Okay if you're not too hungry. Breakfast was good, the omelettes are delicious! All in all,
I wish we had stayed somewhere else and forfeited the cost of the voucher. There were bugs in the rooms - lots and lots of them. I woke up with little cockroaches on my blanket, giants ants and Mosquitos everywhere and little spiders. They put these gross fabric nets over the beds that have never been washed and have holes and dead bugs on them. So I would rather sleep with out it and get bitten.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very pleasant staff, nice breakfast, laid back atmosphere in the beautiful gardens. When I arrived I instantly felt relax. Shuttle bus is free. We didn't mind the distance to the centre of Ubud. Surroundings are great. At the corner of the hotel the rice fields start.

I arrived late at night to the most beautiful sight...umbrellas, lanterns and a lovely room with complimentary fruit, water and good quality toiletries.
Breakfast was great.
Excellent value for money. Clean, friendly and I had a massage before I left and it was the best I had in my one month in Bali. The only negative was only staying one night. Thanks to whole team!

Room Tip: I think this place lovely.
