The food was quite tasty and fresh. Not quite tex-mex if that's what you are looking for. Quite possibly the best service we have had during our time in Ubud. The manager loves people and sharing his story...so you might end up staying a while.

Me and my girlfriend visited here on the basis that Mexican food in Indonesia must be worth trying!
I can't say enough good things about this restaraunt, the food is incredible (we even did a cooking class here) and the staff are brilliant (Nyoman the manager is a lovely down to earth guy who will come out and have a chat with you and can't be helpful enough).

We dropped in for a meal one night and tried the mexican cooking (Mexican platter and Burritos are a must). The food was phenomenal and very fairly priced, washed down nicely with a crisp cold Bintang! (try and catch happy hour where it's 20K rupea for a 600ml)
After our meal we got talking to Nyoman who was brilliant and asked us where we were staying, what we were doing etc. The topic turned to what we wanted to do and we suggested a cooking class and joked we would love to be able to cook like the meal we had just eaten. With that Nyoman thought he'd give it a shot, he set up a cooking class there and then with his chef (that also works at the Green leaf restaraunt just down the street, also a really good place to eat / drink). We set off the next morning to learn to cook Burritos x 2 (1 each), Balinese chicken stew x2, Dadar Biu (Banana Crepes) x2 and Banana Fritters x2.

The cooking class:
An amazing experience we both thoroughly enjoyed. The chef and Nyoman had never done a cooking class before but we found it fantastic. They got us involved with the cooking and we had great hands on experience (with a few free drinks thrown in!)
We ate one of the two meals between us that we had cooked and got to take the rest back to the hotel with us to eat afterwards (a really nice touch). We had our pictures taken during the experience and learned some really useful things, we even got the recipes!
I would seriously recommend this restaraunt to anyone in Bali, the food, staff and atmosphere are all brilliant.

This is a great place with friendly staff and which offers a good menu. Some mexican (great chimichangas), some Balinese, some Western. Staff is attentive and I was even given a complimentary dessert one night - pancakes with banana, orange sauce and ice cream, which was delicious. (The Nachos weren't fantastic though - a bit sparse and not enough of it.) There's also a solo performer who takes requests and does a great job.
It's the sort of place you know you can get a great, quick meal. Not too expensive and a good happy hour. All cocktails for 40,000 IDR.
The place is pleasant, clean and well set out. I gives a very clean and tidy impression.

We had the nachos, and they were the smallest serving I have ever seen, perhaps an entree size for one person. Maybe we didn't read menu properly but we were expecting more. I quite liked the taste of the beans but my wife didn't like them at all, perhaps she was comparing to nachos we had in Peru that were excellent

It was empty when we went. Portions were small, salsa and guacamole were not fresh. Big disappointment; price does not reflect quality. We also tried taco casa and found it to be better value.
